How long did it take for you to replace the head gasket? Recently got mine changed by a mechanic and they took about 3-4 hours which I’m thinking was pretty sketchy knowing it’s an extensive job.

The m104 head gasket is “easy” and straightforward. That’s the only reason I can do it myself. Takes me a couple of days because I take the head in to get machined every time. Also my intake and exhaust manifolds are a nightmare to remove (custom) But doing it in 3-4 hours I don’t know if that’s possible. Even on a. Stock m104🤷🏻♂️ But there are some good mechanics out there and anything is possible 🤙🏼

My m104 3200 has a gt35r Made 700 at the wheels and blew the std lo comp motor to bits so now makes 528 at the wheels and runs a safe map

Change your fuel pump and fuel filter from ther they will over heat alot and you will have some problems put it under the car its the best way possible i did the same with my golf1 and i have some fuel pump failers and put it under the car works fine

Don’t trade your original W203. You’ve put a lot of time and effort into it. My personal opinion is that you should just put a Toyota engine in there which is less complicated and cheaper parts. Alternatively put the M271 engine back in, I can’t remember if you’ve sold that engine or not. I started watching your channel to learn about the mechanicals of a W203 and I also have the same model, 2006 c200 manual. Nobody ever borrows the car because they look down and see 4 pedals to operate the car 😮. Those “half-load” A-class models were never up to Mercedes-Benz quality so I wouldn’t recommend another.

Hi, I have also made straight pipe on my car (320cdi) and I can recommend you putting in the shortest possible straight through muffler. It makes the car quieter at low load, but clears out the exhaust sound at high loads. Keep up the good work

I doubt it… there’s a square shaped space between the engine and gearbox that the exhaust runs through and is the issue. I can probably get something bigger in there but it will stick out as the lowest part under the car. For now I’m happy with it as is🤘😁

Just for curiosity you made a high flow exhaust manifold and now intake with a big throttle i don’t have experience building engines either but did you at least tried to find out how many bars the engine can handle with the stock internal?

My fuel system can only handle about 0,7bar (10psi) I could upgrade that and the engine should survive at about 1 bar (14psi) maybe more if I start mixing fuel🤷🏻♂️ But the gearbox is the next weak spot in this setup and I don’t want to upgrade that. My goal is efficiency with this setup. Getting everything to work as best as I can. Airflow in & airflow out with as little resistance as possible 💪🏼 If that makes sense 😅
