They acknowledged he is a legend. They are a younger audience, therefore, they may not know LL’s musical history the way people who grew up immersed in LL era. Sometimes people like to hear legends directly tell them what they’ve already heard. LL is laughing & laxed, engaging & educating. LL legendary status doesn’t seem to be the be all & end all for him.
