My zoom H4 Essential keeps picking crackling/flickering noise in some part of the record which renders part of that audio useless. I first experienced it when I tapped sound from a DJ mixer and thought the crackling/flickering noise was from the mixer. But I did a shoot where I used the zoom recorder as boom mic and I lost some part of that audio because of the crackling/flickering noise. I have used the "declicker" option in Adobe Audition to try and restore the file but it's not working. Does any one have an idea, please? The sample rate on the recorder is set to 48khz.

No, i hike alone. I still have many friends, but few who hike,,also due to trauma. I bring SOS, I backcountry with friends when I can, but due to longterm ptsd and complexities of life, I refuse to give up something i love, though when alone I take major precautions. It's selfish to not think of others stories. I dealt with homicide and my own very brutal attack, that led to isolation...it's far more complex then even this due to neck injuries. I always had men to go with, but less women. Its not fair to say who is worthy or help, many people in this world have stories of all sorts why they have limited friends, maybe they are poor and work all the time. Youe comment is harsh. It's selfish to not reflect on how others have it and why they hike solo
@aerbear90Ай бұрын
This isn't even about solo hiking, he didn't download a map that can read GPS and download map prior, don't go off trail without this stuff. I don't see use of an app like OsmAnd- this off trail stuff can get extremely dangerous. Any satellite , offline map (easy to download before), water filter etc. These are super important or i would never leave trail, even the most experienced hikers can run into issues

Yes, that's a group of Bf. Scary sound. Every time I hear that it makes me afraid for weeks. They are out there. People always want to wish them away. But they are still out there. A group like that are a force to be reckoned with. They own the night, literally. They are not something you want to ever encounter. Much less want to run into miles from anywhere. They are like slow at first ,but the more they watch, the less cautious they become. They know how powerful they are. They have little fear of us. They scare me to death. What triggers them ??? Peace.
@raymondmartinez7728Ай бұрын
"What triggers them?" People going out in nature and take, take, taking and don't leave anything as an offering of thanks to the denizens of the woods. People, pack some apples and smoked salmon and wrap so that bears and such can't smell items in your pack. If you feel they are near speak out with no malice and thank them for letting you be there and make a nice, generous offering. Enjoy nature but always, always with a healthy dose of humility and respect for the area and it's residents. Peace be with you all ...

I hate the soft skin buttons. I also have the Zoom H8 which is provided with a completely soft skin. That recorder is mainly in its original plastic case. Used 5 times at most. Last week I needed it but it looked like it had been in a jar of honey. Dirty and sticky and tacky. Also very ugly. So even though it is almost brand new I can't sell it second hand like that. I asked a question about this at Zoom. You then get a file number but no further response at all. Really very bad service and a bad device made of bad materials. I also have a Zoom H2n. When you put on headphones during recording, your recording is ruined, because the slightest touch of the wire is a drum salvo on your audio track. I also have a Tascam and there are no problems with that at all. But if Zoom does solve it properly, I will report that too. But I fear the worst.

I just loved this video hearing about the Makah Indians and their encounters with the Sasquatch's. I live east of Neah Bay, over in Everett. I am Tlingit Indian as my Mother is from Sitka, Alaska. I remember growing up and listening to my Mom, Grandma and Aunt talk about the "Kushtaka" in the dense wooded areas in Sitka. Kushtaka is the Tlingit name for " Land otter man/ Large wild hairy man of the forest. AKA- Sasquatch. My mom always told us kids as we got a little bit older to be very careful while venturing out in the mountain forests . She said that Sasquatch's are very real. They are wild creatures and should be respected and left alone since that is their territory. Anyway, I hope you have more upcoming videos as I look forward to seeing more. "Gu'nal"cheesh" (Thank you)😊

Our 3 face to face encounters occurred, not in some far removed wilderness, or Tibet, or some such area, but they occurred in Connecticut, a State with a fairly well developed manufacturing and industrial base, and we are of Ukrainian and Polish descent. Our encounters at our home forced my Father, 82nd Airborne Paratrooper to buy a rifle and keep it and a box of ammo right by the kitchen door for quite a while. He was able to set a trap for it by keeping a hose turned on and kept by the kitchen door. When my sister screamed he jumped outside and sprayed it with the hose thinking it was neighborhood pranksters. For this it lunged at him and then went back in the woods where it lived. We knew it wasn't there to help us with our taxes, it wasn't there to cut our lawn and it certainly wasn't there to teach us how to develop clean energy sources. If it came back, it was going to end up in a display case at nearby Yale University in New Haven Connecticut or maybe at UCONN. We are of Ukrainian and Polish descent and we live in Connecticut, not some far removed, mountainous area.

We are decendants of people of Ukrainian & Polish heritage. The 3 face to face encounters at our home in Connecticut were enough to convince us these things are nothing more than animals that live I the woods. They were not at our home scaring the daylights out of my sister for any good purpose. They were not there to help us with our taxes, they weren't there to cut our lawn and they certainly were not there to teach us how to develop clean energy sources. We also saw they came out of the woods and went back into the woods, they did not climb into a spaceship to rendezvous with the Mothership, they didn't arrive through some time warp or portal or any other such nonsense. For the trouble they caused at our home in Connecticut, my Father 82nd Airborne Paratrooper kept a rifle and a box of ammo by the kitchen door, and if these things came back anymore, they were going to end up in a display case at nearby Yale University in New Haven Connecticut or maybe UCONN.

This is just my take on this video. The 1st account I have a pretty difficult time believing that humans can interact with bigfoot. I've seen countless videos and nothing remotely make any sense that this story occurred since bigfoot seems to be extremely intelligent yet doesn't want to have anything to do with people. Yet here these bigfoot stood there calmly like human neighbors and "understood"? what was being said to them? Nah, don't believe this one. Good story though almost put me to sleep should have seen this earlier. The 2nd one started out by saying what sounded like she said a few beers ago. I'm sure it was years. Goodnight! Jesus is Lord. He said unless a man is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. I live to share the gospel so lastly God loves you and Jesus died for your sins and is coming back soon. If your name is not written down in the book of life you cannot go to heaven. We all will stand before Jesus and give an account for our lives. God is Holy and just and doesn't want anyone to be separated from Him and the new earth as well as the new Jerusalem. Hope to see you through eternity! John 3:16.
