I know both those feelings well. The pain of the daily stuff and people not getting it. I'm autistic as is my son. Last year he asked to take the bus and I was so proud. Unfortunately his excitement of the bus did not overcome his anxiety on the bus :( He had trouble with staying seated etc... He started taking the special education bus as part of his IEP but a couple weeks into this school year we pulled him from in person and gave him enrolled in the online program (still Auburn Schools though) It's a tough life for kiddos and adults alike.
