I am happy with how the Defense has been playing. Derwin is targeted by the NFL so unfortunately, he draws flags other players might get away with.

Alt is out too. Bosa needs to go, he's never available. I think we gave up on the running game too soon, needed to pound the rock more. For as well as Derwin played, he had some bonehead moves as well. Those 2 penalties really hurt in important situations.

Thw worst defense to ever win a superbowl was 23rd overall giant's back in thd 80s or 90s cant remmember exact season i just know the worst overall defense to win was 23rd ny giants And I bet if you look into it, it's probably because they had a really good defensive line who created havoc and sacks or TOs

12-5? We lucky if we 8-10 wins tbh idk bout this defense Bosa always hurt, Mack getting old and DL not that great. Justin is promising but he’s only a rookie and no weapons at WR tbh Palmer and Ladd are pretty much the only ones Johnston isn’t good so hopefully Rice can take his spot soon

D-line seems improved from last season and I believe Johnston will turn it around this season. If Bosa and/or Mack gets hurt we can always elevate Morris-Brash from the practice squad. I think we're deep enough at edge that it will be good for us all season.

I know it seems crazy but harbaugh went 13-3 with niners and alex smith. If herbert is healthy I can see how they can overcome an avg roster.

Situations and personnel make a huge difference in football. Calling a pass play on 4th and 2 to DJ moore is not the same as calling it for devante adams. However you feel about getsy's playcalling it'll be better than Mike Lombardi's stale outdated patriots offense he was trying to run in LV. And writing off a QB just cause he wasnt a first rounder is also wild considering 75% of them don't last either. AOC doesnt constantly miss his throws he doesnt throw unnecessary picks or gets sacked more than he should hes exactly what you want in a QB unless youre going for generational or bust. This is a 8-10 win team, but i get how you don't see it since based off your evaluation it seems like you got the chiefs and chargers sweeping the raiders 0-4 while itll likely be 2-2 per usual.

They have to travel more than any other team this year. Over 16k miles. The schedule is the schedule, but where and when are the games? I think they play 3 teams that are coming off a bye and another off a mini-bye. They do have a 3 game home stretch though. Tough games with the…Ravens, Falcons and Chiefs.

The last game with the Raiders will depend if the Chargers are fighting for the division or a playoff spot. If they got one or both of those locked and they will not benefit at all by winning, then I believe they will rest all their starters.

Realistically, where are the holes? We have a good line that will be better with coaching, our QB is elite, RBs room has crazy potential along with our WR room, and on defense, the worst positions are DT and CB but have potential to be great. We don’t have as many holes as everyone thinks

@mighty2399 the defense is the hole though, specifically the pass defense. We'll see what it can do next year. Herbert has some absurd win rate when the defense holds opponents to 28 points or less

I would absolutely love if we went 12-5 but I think 8-10 wins is more likely. I think that every team always has at least 1 game that they should win but they lose for various reasons. And I think we will also lose a couple games because the holes on our roster will be exploited too much

@@footballthreat I think part of the issue with believing is that the team needs to win some 50-50% games and some they would normally lose. They haven't overperformed expectations recently. The last time they got 12 wins was 2018, 5 seasons ago. Anthonny Lynn was the coach, Philip Rivers was the QB and they lost to Tom Brady with the Patriots in the playoffs. Feels like a different generation.

Every position that is in question like cb, safety depth, IDL, and WR1 at least there are premier athletes competing. Fulton, Woods, Henley, Chark, Ladd, etc.. all have good athletic profiles to work with. Might get lucky with a couple of them.

Good take but the reports and videos I’ve seen is saying that our offense should be significantly better and our defense is average at best. These are always opinions, even with analysts with years of pro experience, get takes wrong. This team is build off of depth, something Telesco couldn’t do, so no one person will be the star, just good depth everywhere. Should be interesting until some of the rooks can develop.
