As salaam alaikum sister. I also think large families are important and beneficial-to those women who can handle the stress and workload (mental and physical) of course. I am an only child and a Muslim revert. I didn’t get married til I was 25 and had 4 years of infertility due to pcos. Now I have 3 daughters and lost my son at 19 weeks gestation. SubhanAllah. I sometimes feel like I want a truckload of kids and then other times I see the ease and simplicity of just having one or two. It is really hard to have children when you work full time and live in a small apartment like me 😅but it is a blessing from Allah and worth the struggle. At what age do you think is best to stop having kids? I am 36 and I wonder when I should say “enough!”? May Allah bless all the women who want children with them and make it easy for us all! Ameen.

Is it true when you study our attention span is 20 minutes long so after 20 minutes to take a break? Or I guess it's different for everyone as we are all individuals

I think that's why most of those pomodoro timers are 25 mins. I certainly find it harder to focus without taking a break at around the 30 min mark.

I am so busy I have work 8am - 7pm every day I am exhausted every day, I have a 10 month old baby and 2 year old boy. I don’t have time to do anything. What can I do? At 7pm I do the housework and food and almost collapse at 9pm. My baby still wakes up 2-3 times. I don’t know how to do anything spiritual for other people. Help

@cstevens1569 May Allah swt make it easy for you and reward you for all your efforts and intentions! I wouldn't focus on doing anything spiritual for other people during this very busy and exhausting season in life but rather focus on how you can fill up at bit of your own cup. Maybe listen to Qur'aan recitation on the way to work and/or use the opportunity to make duas. I'd have a conversation with your spouse on how both of you can be part of the same team (I'm assuming he's working as well) and how you can divide chores in the household and taking care of the kids. I am assuming that staying home is not an easy option at this point, so all hands on board are required. If you're doing the basic obligatory things (prayer for example), you're doing a great job! Think of things that you enjoy doing and add small bits of it (10 min with a timer) while your spouse sticks the kids in the bathtub and lets them play. This is NOT a season of life where you do things for other people (beyond your husband and small kids) but where other people would have an opportunity to help you - think send a meal over to a neighbour if you know they're busy and have small kids. There was a Ramadaan when I had 5 kids and 2 small babies and our lovely neighbours were sending food over every night and may Allah bless them and reward them for that as it was so precious.

Try to look for spare moments throughout the day for making dhikr. When I was working in an office it was amazing how many salawat I could fit in during the day, even with interruptions, if I set my mind to it. I was given a target of 1000 every day, with 2000 on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays in sha’Allah. You will be amazed how it can be fitted in between everything else, and of course the rewards are enormous in sha’Allah.❤

I'm a busy mom in a large household so I don't have the capacity to add more video making content at this time. I'm sure your husband can find time to watch the video in bits and pieces or you could summarize to him the main points you found beneficial...I found 'talking through reels/shorts' to make a point with your spouse the very basic form of communication required when it comes to homeschooling or raising kids. Have a date and share what's on your mind these days and take the conversation from there insha'Allah.
