I had a chance to pick up a pair used Truman boots and when the soles wear down and they will I will have them resole and mid sole replaced with a thick leather mid sole and a steal shank no fiberglass

I was a history major too. I jist got my field boots, they were 20% off with another 20% off. About $220. Freaking steal. They are bigger fitting than diesel boots. I gotta wrar thick socks with them which is fine. I might try an insole to take up room.

Before getting into PNW boots, just wore Alden and Red Wing. Started buying the better boots like Whites, Nicks and the others. Alden caters to dress shoes/boots people for the most part while offering a few more casual boots. They are not competing with the work boot companies. Their Indy and similar models are comfortable casual boots and not work/hiking boots. You can wear them walking and to an office job and they will perform well. That being said, they are too expensive. There are other quality options to choose from. I still like Alden boots for the comfort but not the price.

That's a good looking boot but the no gusset is a deal breaker. Thursday Boot Co makes street wear / casual wear boots in which they do well enough but a boot that leans more on the rugged side and with that shaft hight needs a gusset at least up to the bottom speed hook.

Yes brother. They exploit us all then tell us all that a white man's exploitation is most valuable of us all so that we hate men that suffer along with us. It's always been psychological but some of us see through it. Much respect.

You can’t crack me up this much while I’m cooking dinner man. I nearly took my fingers off twice about your comments about not devaluing 1 billion Chinese people and it being too late to complain about end stage capitalism just for Grant Stone making a very American corporate healthy profit. Great review. I’m good with Grant Stone, Chisos, Graft & Glory, Drew’s, and any company that is honest about sourcing their labor or materials where they can sell quality product for cheaper. As long as they’re being fair to their workers, not wrecking the drinking water of a whole ecosystem with irresponsibility, and aren’t trying to BS virtue signal, then I’m good with it. It’s the “made in USA *fine print* with globally sourced parts” that upset me honestly.

I hope you got to check out a Preds game while you were in town. How does the overall volume compare to other boots you have? I have a pair of Red Wing 1907s that I love, but the eyelets are damn near touching when I lace them tightly. I would like to find a moc toe that's a better match to my foot. From a former 2/502 IN, 101st, thank you for your service.

It was a common solution to the lack of fluorescent clothing in the 70’s and early 80’s, cars would see you sparkling like a disco ball right before they hit you at night. I hope it’s not making a comeback.

why did you buy them?
@theknowsbros83444 ай бұрын
That’s a good question, I bought them on sale for $130, so there’s that, plus I liked the silhouette on line, however I blame myself for not researching the boots, in the end it was my fault, but that won’t stop me from blaming someone else (Helm Boots) for my disappointment

Thanks, and they do seem a bit sneaker-y though I can’t tell if that was the plan. It was honestly the studs on the back that led me down the road to a hostile review.

@@theknowsbros8344 yes the studs are definitely odd!! Especially since there is nothing else on the shoes / boots that "ties" into them style wise.
