Moved here in 66,rigth before my 11th birthday from lincoln heights, it was like a neighborhood you saw on tv like Leave to Beaver, a lot trees, green yards with no fences, i used to run from one corner to the next on every front lawn, now that same block every house has an ugly fence. In the 70's white fligth was at its peak, in the 80's still all rigth but slowly changing into a gang infested 90's, rents were low and a lot of apathy from top to bottom was prevalent, as a joke if anybody asked me where i lived i said Tijuana. White people and their dogs started coming around 2010 i think, but lots that were empty for decades are now all developed with with as many units as they can fit, so now the apathy has returned into no thougth or care of quality of life pack'em in make as much money for the city and the greedy developers developers.

Why is it in all these alien cultures, in Star Trek and others, they have one language per alien species, such as “Vulcan”, “Klingon”, “Cardassian”, etc, but earth does not have “Earthling” as its language, but 100s of languages and dialects.

Dirk's still going strong at age 79. I heard from him recently while on FB to my surprise. I was talking about how ROM Spaceknight. Was swiped from GORT/ Klaatu from The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) movie. And from the look of the BSG 78 Cyclons.

"Enemy Mine" 5 years before "Enemy Mine" came out.

I disliked it, when my parents would let me see only ten minutes of each episode, than made me go to my room to sleep. I saw most introductions and some of it,...but than,...never the full episodes. It is only in my later life I was able to catch up with all episodes and series. Like BSG.

I'm hard pressed to think of very many really GOOD BSG episodes, but that was one of them. Still cheesy, of course, but nonetheless a good episode.

Why was his voice like that instead of like the other cylons?

I love this episode, it's my favorite!! I think that the reason Starbuck didn't rebuild another Cylon,is because it wouldn't have been the same as Cy, and he didn't have the Hart to do it!! I think that the reason why he didn't use the Cylon Fighter to get back to the fleet,was because he wouldn't have been able to catch up with them,on the fuel it had, and the fleet was probably way out of range for him to reach. Not only that,it takes 2 to fly the Cylon Fighter, and he can't do it by himself. Not only that, but it might have compromised the fleet, if he tried to meet up with them. He also wouldn't have been able to contact the fleet,so they might have shot at him, thinking that he was just another Cylon Fighter, trying to attack them. Just my opinion though.

This was My favorite episode, but unfortunately it's not on the boxed DVD set, of the original series. It was in the Battlestar Galactica,1980 series. That's not on DVD, at least I couldn't find it, if it is.

This episode should've ended with Starbuck getting rescued by the Ship of Lightss and returing to the Colonial Fleet.

I bought the original Galactica-1980 DVD collection solely for this episode. Was so happy when the reboot decided to remake it with "You Can't Go Home Again" (in a manner of speaking)

Couldn't Starbuck use parts from the centurions they shot to repair Cy? Then take off in the ship they came in?

Ahhh memories. This was my favorite episode. I couldn't believe starbuck would be stranded alone. It would have been great if he made it to earth with the fleet to open overpriced coffee franchises run by liberal snowflakes. Meh, maybe for the best.

I'm not sure what is worse, the dialogue or the abundance of tin foil.

Uh... which "two scenes from a really bad show" are you talking about? I only see scenes of 1978 masterpiece Battlestar Galactica. Maybe KZbin took down those two scenes, or something like that!

Say what you like about Starbuck’s return but the whole series was trash. Really disappointing premise and so disappointing to have gotten rid of 90% of the original cast.
