Thank you for a good tutorial. I like the non-chain 3 method you showed. I'm going to try that when I make the chicken. It will be a fun project. Might use it for random acts of crochet kindness or back pack buddies. Take care of yourself and thanks again.

Thank you so much for this great tutorial! I had no plans to ever make a chicken until I saw the Granny Square Chicken!! I made mine in Autumn colors. SOOO cute!!

Awe man, I didn't see the edit until after i tied it off on the last row. 😢 No wonder mine looks wonky. And I'm using scrap yarn so i might not have enough for a 3rd square. Maybe I'll just put this wonky one with a correct one and make it work.

I will say though, that your instruction was easy to follow and you showed and described everything in a way that made it easy for a beginner like me to follow along. And I learned what a treble cluster was! So thank you for that! 🧡 I'll be subbing and looking at your other tutorials for something else to make along with you. @leologybiology Yes, it took me years to acquire all of it. I've been a knitter since I was 5 years old and crocheting now for 4.5 years. I always wait for sales or use coupons. I don't like paying full price. 🤣

I thought about the kits but the shipping charges are outrageous. When I take the shipping charges into account I can get it off Amazon cheaper, even tho it might be a $1 more.

I wish I could add a photo of the one that I made from your tutorial. It turned out so cute! Thank you for giving such a good tutorial and doing everything slowly where I could follow along. Most of the time a tutorial is too fast and I have to pause multiple times to be able to follow along. Thanks again! There's so many pretty squares. I really like the Graceful Granny and the Halloween cat. I got a huge kick out of your dog. At first I thought I was hearing an owl outside my window and started to turn my TV down to check. That's when you said 'who' it was, lol. I intend to make your granny square chickens for one person for Christmas.

I totally agree with ya the only thing I don't like about crocheting is the holes in most blankets...I like the color of it though...but, I do think I'd use it for something different.

I was very happy with kit. I’ve done a few some I liked but some not but as you said make something else. But I want to add you can send it back as well if you don’t like the kits. They will refund you for it. I wasn’t thrilled with the bunny gnome and knew I would never make nor use the yarn so I sent it back.

Thank you Facebook algorithm! Someone shared this in a group im not in and it was pushed to me. I had a TERRIBLE craft show and the lady next to me could not stop selling chickens. Sooooo now I have one for myself that is more my style with worsted weight. 😁 I've been wanting more granny square animals (currently working on a spider as a present).

I got my first kit and it’s that one too. I’m not going to do the pattern . I’m going to do a C2C with the yarn
