Ummm, you can always stop at Sally’s Beauty Supply and purchase a cape. I recommend a plain black. I think they have some short ones too. Not a bad job, but a pro is still the best option imho. It’s hard to find a good pro, but once you do stick to them like glue! Follow them everywhere!
@GShoeVlogs16 күн бұрын
I actually Have a cape but it doesn’t stay on when adjusting to see and cut. But I agree a pro is best! And this was not a great cut/ very average or on the low end of what I have done. I found it is pretty hard to film while trying to get a good cut haha

Taking the video was slightly longer bc of starting and stopping the vid, changing the angle etc. depending how much effort I put it it could be 20 minutes, but for this vid it was around an hour

That's pretty quick! When I do a full blending from 2 to 0 it takes 2 hrs, i don't why it takes this long and how to cut the time a bit! It's about 1 year that I am cutting my own hair
@GShoeVlogs23 күн бұрын
You’re still pretty new to it if you’ve been doing it for a year. I’ve also learned the fastest way is to use as few guards as possible and free hand as much as you can. It’s riskier but saves quite a bit of time

I got a tip for easy clean up.. you can buy a cheap tarp for a couple bucks and stand on it while you cut.. you can also use newspaper or something to cover the sink.. that way just fold and dump the hair right in the trashcan, no sweeping
@GShoeVlogs26 күн бұрын
Good idea. If I do it inside, I cover the sink with the barbers cape. It works pretty well but I feel like little hairs still cause a bit of a mess. Far easier to cleanup tho. I like the idea!

@117gilgamesh2 ай бұрын
I love Flow bindings but they do have a quirk that may put some people off and that is because of the cable link, the bindings give a very strong heel side turn which makes the heel toe response with Flow bindings kinda lop sided. Toe side turns are not by any means weak but its that the heel side turn is soo much stronger.

I would agree. That’s a good way of putting it to words as well. Part of it is how I have it setup as well. I have it setback a slight bit which also may cause that

Also size wise it is preference for sure but technical skaters usually ride smaller boards where vertical guys like the big bowl rippers like you got yourself! I ride an 8.5 or an 8.38 depending on what brand or if I switch from classic shape to shovel nose

I've always wanted to try to ride a larger board, but I never got around to it. I ride an 8.25 but I'm def more of a flat ground skater and wasn't sure if the bigger board would affect my flip tricks. Good video!

Thank you! I really enjoy it. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is it is noticeably heavier. I think flipping it would be just as easy but getting it up is harder if that makes any sense

Try not lifting your board up as much on your kick turns. Im just getting into skating and coming from surfing i was doing the same thing. The less you lift the front of the board you’ll avoid that feeling of almost slipping out onto your back and it makes transitioning back down the ramp easier.
