Unlike present day Amercan policy towards climate crisis which is nothing the Chinese are actually doing the right thing, Trump and his idiot acolytes hate this .The Americans are not the innovative forward looking nation they used to be move over Americans and let the rest of the world carry on trying to tackle this most dangerous threat to all of us

Deserts are deserts because of lack of water. Planting trees where it doesn’t rain is a dumb idea. If they’re serious about fighting desertification, they will flood the desert with ocean water and plant mangrove trees.

After reading the comments, i know one thing the westerns never want china to succeed in anything. In the 60s, Americans laughed at china for trying nuclear, and we did it. In 70s, American economist said we will never be able to feed this large population, and we did. And we become the second largest economy, we built infrastructures better than Europe and US. We, Chinese, will never expect u to be kind and supportive, we will do it again by smart and hardworking. U can keep living under a rock, we couldn't care less whatever you think. We will accomplish it.

It seems necessary to change the thumbnail image. All of Seoul's achievements were accomplished by Former President Lee Myung-bak. He served as the Mayor of Seoul before becoming President. Former President Roh Moo-hyun, on the other hand, has no achievements.

Its a great thing that countries are starting to become aware of environmental issues . Mass tree planting is needed in many countries, and this project in China is to be commended. Furthermore,,the removal of plastics from the worlds ocean and rivers needs to become an international effort . If humanity continue to use technology to help solve the major environmental problems arroud the planet ,, Perhaps there is hope for future generations, and they can work on ending wars and famine. If countries could learn to work together to solve the real world problems ,,then there may be hope for a better standard of living for the millions of people who are suffering the most . Respect. ...!

Yes and no. From what I understand, the implementation of the "Great Green Wall" was an abysmal failure. Poorly maintained, poorly planned, unsuitable monocultures that had no long term sustainability... It seems to be a trend with china. Jump on the bandwagon fast, look good, but projects have terrible planning, implementation, sustainability, and end up garbage within a few years.
