sorry but there are no spools in a HEUI Injector! The popit valve seat may leak from dirty oil wear but there are no spools to stick.

Very good video! Could you please tell me what diagnostic system you use. I'm looking for a new one for my shop. I really like the one you use, it seems to show what the problem is and what needs to be replaced.
@fedadabass5 ай бұрын
Thanks man, looking back I should have addressed low pressure oil issues aswell. I use autoenginuity for a general scan tool, it's pretty good for dodge n gm stuff too but I'm using the free version of forscan now allot. I'd definitely recommend that one for diag on powerstrokes. It seems to do everything and more than autoenginuity. Get into that for under 30 bucks and any old laptop.

Excellent video. I have a 99, 7.3 with 290k that's running great. Want to keep it that way. Had start problems (-30°), new block heater fixed that. Thinking of a new (reman) ICM, just because of age and miles, maybe increase mpg. Thanks to your video, now have other things to check!

It’s gonna take a hell of a lot more than that to keep a ford diesel running let alone in cold weather even the only decent diesel they put in their trucks the 7.3 struggled in the cold you either let it run all winter or keep it in a heated garage

340 each cnd, that's about 3 grand after all our taxes, plus ford wants 250 each core charge. So if u don't have cores it's about 5k to get started.

Toyota grey silicone rtv is my goto. Give it a try u will throw that ford crap right in the bucket
@fedadabass8 ай бұрын
Ya Toyota silicon is good but I'm not sure if it's resistant to diesel fuel, what does Hino use I wonder? there will always be some diesel in the oil. Ford's new silicon is called TA-357 and its just re labeled loctite 5900, it sets up super fast, the old ta31 is 7.3l silicon and specially resistant to diesel fuel. Last Toyota I worked on I got the parts from the dealer and got thier silicon, I found it took allot longer to set up and the tube was wrecked because I didn't put a plug in it. 7.3 stuff I never plug it, just leave it and pull the hard stuff at the end off with my fingers, and it's good to go again. Ford didnt even make thier own diesels until 2011, and don't use impregnated gaskets either which makes them dependent on the proper sealant. I suppose it's fair to say only Toyota and Ford make thier own diesels! Best to use thier respective stuff.
