In the opening, you can here Pete (voice altered) on the phone with Bas telling him "you never know what's around the corner, mate... and ends with 'just laugh and sing, mate, it's what you gotta do" Pete was dealing with cancer at this point and the results weren't yet known. This might've been their last video, for all they knew. They show themselves writing the lyrics (a big FU to the people who think they don't) while rapping over a very melancholy beat. As a person dealing with cancer myself, this song brings me to tears. The opening is a gut-punch and then I see Pete just going out there and doing what he does, like "whatever, I'ma do my thing, screw cancer". Inspirational is an understatement. Pete eventually beat the cancer. If he can do it, so can I.

I knocked a man down...to the start of the match" - it sounds like a radical flow switch right in the middle, but the rhythms on the first half and second half are exactly the same. The only thing that changed is where the stressed syllables fall, which makes you hear it completely differently, even though it's identical. Absolutely bonkers. It sounds like there's a shift in the downbeat, but there isn't.

It's my first time here and the audio levels in the video are waaay too low, can barely hear what you're saying without turning the volume way up so I'm gone. Put it up to like 3 dB below the stinger instead instead of 15 dB lower cuz I can't hear shit.

@Abihef appreciate the comment. My mic levels are fine even set up to lower the video audio whenever I speak, and it was tested on a few different sources to make sure. Now, the video audio could be higher, but YT likes to be funny with claims, which is why it is lower. Besides that, I can't find any reason why you couldn't hear anything

@Abihef no what's crazy, I adjusted my volumes on my latest video of Pete and Bas and someone ones was like your too loud haha 😆 so I'll go back to the reg settings and if you check out another one let me know if it comes off good or not

Ey you gotta remind me man because I'm currently out and I generally don't check these kinds of videos. But as long as you ain't clipping and have your RMS dB a around 6dB below 0 I'd say you're never too loud Just record through a compressor I'd say and tune it up so you peak at about the same level as the stinger average. Play some commercials and check their loudness then without changing any settings listen to your video and check the loudness and get them roughly to match. Or better match it to videos with great levels like perhaps Mr. Carlson's lab or Grady from applied engineering, or maybe Warren huart from mix like a pro They're generally not too far below the louder videos but definitely not too low and very intelligible compared to all other videos and commercials. Don't know what software you've got but audacity is free and great, hell, even fl studio demo could help you gauge the levels and the best tool are your ears. Just fiddle and twiddle a bit and I'm sure you get it. And don't care too much about opinions of people on the internet, most are just stupid anyway. Just learn from the best and let the words of the shouters pass
