Pete (72yrs) is the shorter one and Bas (76yrs) is the taller one. They just released their debute album in November '24 but have been perfecting their skills since 2017. They don't really have any bad tracks so all their stuff is worth checking out 💯 "Slap the stick" is the current one that keeps getting stuck in my head 😅

I love the combination of their voices and how well they complement each other. Pete has a rasp a soul artist would be happy to have, can turn on a dime when it comes to changing flow, and suits a sharper, punchier delivery. Bas has a warm, resonant voice which never loses its smoothness regardless of any switch-up in rhyming pattern, tempo, or signature.

I know it's funny at first, but when you start listening to the flow, the wordplay, the beats, they are FIRE. This isn't even one of their bangers. Subbed and can't wait until you get to Bish Bash Bosh, Plugged in with Fumez, Sindhu Sesh, and all the others. And trust me, you need to do those before you even attempt Whirlybird. You aren't ready. Not sure who they were inspired by, but Bas (tall one with deep voice) mentions in the video "Golf" that he's a big Sean Paul fan.

Listen to 9&D and you'll hear some similarities (duh - why wouldn't P&B get tips from them early on?) but 9&D's bars aren't anywhere near the level of P&B's writing. If 9&D could write bars like this, they'd use them on their own tracks.
