Hey Acid, what's the best way to spawn actors from the sky and slowly make their way to the ground, using Splines?

Create a spline that start in the sky and ends on the ground. Create the same movement logic for following the spline. Use a timeline and create a float track in the timeline to control the progression from 0 to 1. Get the location at distance along spline or get location at time and grab the output of the get location to update the actors position.

Nice video!! I just have a question, I followed this video and save/load works perfectly in the editor but when I build the project I face an issue, when I press load it teleports my character to the bottom of the map and makes my character size bigger

That is a common issue related to saving and loading. It could be a variety of different things. I would try and check to see if it is resetting your load data when you initially load in for location. So try setting up a print string for the location and the scale of the character to see if it changes.

Man, I love your tutorials. However, this time there is an error that I can't fix. Box trace for object does not respond to my Build collision type. But if I change it to Static objects or Dynamic objects, everything works fine.

The most useful advice I was given when I started my journey is, in order to learn from courses/tutorials, u need to copy the teacher's tehnuique and process, not his project. Use his steps slowly within your own project, more than once so u can understand. Like, if he models a certain 3d mesh in blender, a simple house, then u need to change the geometry of your model enterily. Model 20 different type of houses, using only the process from the tutorial. This way, you will learn the process, not the project. When I did the donut tutorial, I ve made a cake 😅. So, do different type of donuts, use another plate. Do more projects using only the tips found în the course. This way u won t need to watch 30 types of beginner tutorials, if they use the same process, but different project. But u need to deep learn from them. So, a 30 min tutorial can turn into a 10 hours process of building more personal projects, using the 30 min process, and not his project.

At 33:21 you defeat the purpose of the branch. You have both vectors into the blackboard nodes from the random node. The false blackboard node needs to come from the actor location node.

It's weird because when I important any of those animations it says "Mesh contains root bone as root but animation doesn't contain the root track. Import failed. ", any ideas?

You need to either grab a character from Mixamo and use that the root for the animations or upload your character into Mixamo and apply animations onto that. If you just grab a character from Mixamo you can use my retarget video to retarget the character animations onto your character.

If you're asking yourself why the Enemy wasn't running to your Base: When you have Collision on the Base, if its too small or goes through other colliders, it might have a problem where it turns off navmesh inside it, so Enemy doesn't detect it as something reachable therefor Enemy stays where they spawned. There are some options to fix this: 1 - Do what some people suggested, make the Base bigger and get it away from other solid objects. 2 - There's a checkbox called "Can Ever Affect Navigation" inside the BP_Base details, which causes the Base to no longer be considered an obstacle by navmesh, which means it will build navmesh inside it. It will still have a collider. This could potentially get AI stuck if they're trying to get somewhere behind the base, since NavMesh doesn't detect it. 3 - Change "Collision Presets" option to No Collision. This will work best if you just want your AI to get somewhere, but not get others stuck in it. The problem with this option is that the player and other AI that don't take this object into account can go through it. While following this tutorial, I'd suggest doing option 3 and adding a separate Base Static Mesh, combine them both and make them overlap slightly, Option 3 for AI to try and get to the object, and the separate Static Mesh for NavMesh to get properly built, so AI knows they have to move around it if they want to reach something behind it. If you use a translucent material for your Base and turn on Navmesh with P as video suggests, it will be easier to check at what size Nav mesh determines there's walkable terrain inside the tower object, in case you still want NavMesh to detect your Base and work exactly as the one in the video.

The problem I think in implementing that would be that including proper credits involves legal and artistic considerations, and there’s no reliable way for Unreal Engine to automatically understand what needs to be credited or how to phrase the acknowledgment yet. No idea, It is probably a screen shot from a graphics software from a graphics software. The programs use a checkered pattern to show transparency. If you go to the Google image search, click tools, and under color choose transparent. Those should have no background.

@@JenisixR6 Dang I wish I knew about that before I made this last video, I would have included it. All you would have to do is make 3 separate mana progress bars and have a branch that If the mana bar in front of it is greater than 0 then don't use it. Then you would just either carry over the remainder of damage to the other bar if it goes beyond the minimum or just leave as is if you want to cancel out the damage after depleting a shield. I have never played Call of Duty Warzone but hopefully that helps.

When ever my turret fires the projectile it will go for the enemy but the explosion effect that you used in the video explodes on the sphere even tho i have all collisions off

I love questions! If your health is stored in a component, you’ll access the component from your actor get the health value, and store it in your BP_Save like we did with the other variables.
