Eddie is still going strong in the same little shop in Ardara. I stopped to see him for a chat this past June. A new distillery has opened in Ardara, and scarves made with Eddie's handwoven tweed can be bought from them. He has a website of his own as well. You won't find too much handwoven tweed anymore, But Eddie is the real deal.

Ah nice, To be able to spin on the spinning wheel while the sheep 🐑 sleep. To spin the wool or flax for fabric on the weaving loom for your back. Yes it is a dying art.

I DID A BIG POUR A GOOD FEW YEARS AGO WIT THE M,R PUMPS GUYS. I WAS WORKING FOR KILBIRDE CONCRETE PUMPING. AT THE TIME WE TOOK A 63M PUTZMEISTER BOOM PUMP UP TO BELFAST FROM DUBLIN.

You've got your dates wrong at the start of, and during the video. The pour took place in 2009. I was on that job during my time with Dawson Wam installing the seacant pile wall for the basement and the load bearing piles in the basement floor, and was asked to run 1 of the pumps for MRC during the pour as they were a man down.

We met Eddie two weeks ago and watched him work. Seeing the beautiful fabrics he wove ruined me forever. I can see the difference now between hand and machine weaving. Support his dying art by investing in his craft. If you can't visit, purchase online.
