She did seem very conceited but for you people who don't understand the struggles of being an afro-american our people had to fight and die just to be able to freely breathe same air as anyone else so she had to hold her head high at all times and wear that persona because she was a first‼️For the black people and I'm sure it wasn't easy😤

Yes - I would like to change the end of the plot so Aida survives and flees to her own country and lives happily ever after. But then we would not have the last part of act 4 - which is my favorite part of Aida- a masterpiece of great music - so just for the sake of perfection I would keep the plot the way it is with the tomb scene as well.

the greatest soprano to ever interpret opera...and a vocal genius. She found her 'diva gear' singing Verdi...but her Strauss interpretations, weren't chopped liver. And as bombastic and dramatic as Strauss is, he begged for a voice like Ms Price's to do him justice. And she did that, hands down.

Ms. Leontyne Price, Ms. Dionne Warwick, Whitney Houston, Ms. Cissy Houston. Whitney Houston, Dee Dee Warwick, and the rest of that entire family (because there are more that are not famous) are full of powerful great vocalist and talent!! Ms. Dionne and Leotyne carry similar poise, sophistication and attitude when speaking and singing. Wow!!

That is because her life has always been about her. She separated from her husband in 1967 and divorced in 1972, she had no children, so it is not strange that she is her own topic! I am not defending her, but, just saying I totally understand her behaviour.

Poor little black girl, so oppressed, no advantages at all. She was always such a racist; that chip on her shoulder! Such a glorious sound. Sad that she employed such "soul" mannerisms in her later singing. She was one of the greats. However, you can dress 'em up...

She is speaking the honest truth: so MANY singers have been beating their voices up and pushing way past their voice. They pay the price with vocal destruction, huge wobbles, poor pitch, and yet people still scream "Bravo". The Met today has so many singers who cannot sing one note at at time: wobble city. So sad.

Lord have mercy. This video should be played everywhere. In a day and age where its acceptable to spit on the flag and shit on your country as the worst place ever, there is Price proud about her flag, proud about her country and proud to be an American. Leontyne who truly lived through a period of real racism, not the exaggerated, emotionally inflated, social-media driven sensational -type racism we have in 2021. And yet there she is, confident in her talents, proud about her country, grateful to her country for the opportunities provided during such a time. And not one complaint... Take notes.
