I have had gerds now for over 18 years. I got Barrett's esophagus. Medication are now working. Would the surgery be up next? My DR. is saying she will put a stitch in to tighten up the muscle. Will this work

I'm a physician, but am a bit Rusty on this stuff I was supposed to learn back in Ninth Grade. I thought variability was from the Centromere breaking and the subsequent "shuffling of the cards" along with eventual fertilization. I don't claim to know what determines the recombinations.
