Random enemy priest with sleep staff is the MVP of this playthrough. Bro saw you going for the recruit and hit an 18% sleep followed by a 26% sleep next turn. That's approximately a 1 in 2000 odds chance of success and he clutched it out.

hey baf, do you know the reasons why cody is top tier in sfv and bottom tier in usf4? my guess is his zonk was way stronger in v leaving him plus on block and level 2 creating a wall bounce and he had robbery v trigger and useful v skills. so basically, he just had a better zonk, and his gameplay was better suited for v?

i feel like fadc isnt really nessasary in this game idk like sure you get more damage off ultra so you can kill from higher health but besides that why not just save the meter so you can do both ultra and super combos?

Booger is still fine but necro has a frame 1 airborne reversal in hcb+P which allows him to get hit midair by the booger, which causes the loop to either fall out or cost way more meter depending on what I do. They're about equally viable in this MU but tengu stones is more consistent for me.

Idk the order characters were released throughout SF4, but my uninformed theory is that the devs added every other SF2 character and then realized, “oh shit, we have to add Dee Jay too.” So they just slapped him together and made him suck cuz they didn’t care

every SF2 char except t.hawk and deejay were in the original release. Both thawk and deejay were in the first update, and they were planned for first release but not finished in time. So actually they got a year of extra development compared to the rest of the SF2 chars, albeit one less balance adjustment. But neither one was actually fixed for the whole lifespan of SF4 mostly because no one cared about them including the devs.

El Bafé, Demetri Bafflewall...I think I actually asked years before...but it doesn't bother you use pad for a game where people are elitist about using stick and where a prominent way to play is at a cabinet? I'm getting kinda nasty with a pad(hori fighting commander 4) but it's somehow making me feel worse cus I'm fraudulent on a stick, like I'm still not making progress at the game cus I suck at stick. If I were to play semi competitively would a stick be necessary or is the only things I'm missing out on are arcade play and coop cup? Lol. Arcade sounds fun tbh but I wouldn't even go much anyway

Funny you ask because Evo is featuring sf3 this year, in 2 days time, and they're playing on cabinet. That being said last time I went to a cab sf3 tournament there was an adapter and I could use my pad. If you really wanna learn stick you have to force it and hold some Ls in the meanwhile

@@Bafael Grrr. 3s is the only game I feel compelled to do this....actually I guess that's not true. For all fighting games there are characters where you kinda NEED a stick. That said I think one of my problems, beyond hating taking Ls losing to someone worse, is just thinking pad is cooler 😏 Something about lumbering around a 12 ton stick is just....too try hard for my nonchalant a$$. It hurts my own image of being casual yet beating someone's a$$ while he's going ham twirling and mashing buttons you can hear a town away, you know? 😏
