How hard is it to install this vs old school cable steering? My old cable steering finally died on me and I need to install hydraulic steering. Not quite sure the best method to get the hoses to the rear of the boat…any tips?
@bayoubanditcharters2 күн бұрын
A little easier in my opinion due to the fact that you don’t have to adjust linkage on cables. It makes steering a lot easier to turn and will last a lot longer than cables

I would’ve fished right alongside that channel instead of catching them babies where you are that’s quite a bigger fish would’ve been and why are you not bleeding your feet? They’ll taste a hell of a lot better.

Nice video Cap. I caught your 100 hour vid last year. I like the backflush technique. I am thinking the orings should get plumbers silicon grease instead of marine grease. But if replacing every 2 years probably negligible difference before the oring breaks down from the grease.
@bayoubanditcharters4 күн бұрын
Thanks brother! I pull them and inspect every hundred hours so no issues with the marine grease.

Great job!! Very simple and informative. However, the calibration of the TM and sensor has changed I think. I just did mine yesterday and the menu prompted me differently and the TM set it self and started making the circles on its own It works great. This is more simple than the last generation. Good fishing sir

I like the idea. But another is keep the plate greased. It helps by not overpowering the relay.
@bayoubanditcharters7 күн бұрын
Absolutely, but the factory relay is designed to fall in my opinion. I have had close to a hundred people contact me with the same issue. I’m going on 4 years now with zero issues from this winch relay!

I never watched videos over an hour, but i watched this. I'm a Merchant Mariner with a 100 ton MMC license. I've been running a 30' crewboat for about 9 yrs with twin Yamaha F250s. They recently fell apart at 2,300 hrs, basically due to no maintenance prior to me running them. I'm 100% on the Lower Mississippi River, which is just about as corrosive as saltwater. This week, we're pulling the two Yamahas and going with twin DF Suzuki Stealth 250's. I run Suzuki on my personal boats. Thanks for the tips. Some i knew, and some i did not. Subbed and will be watching. Thanks....

I just bought this motor at the fort Myers boat show today for my 22’ angler. Glad to hear you like it. I was worried about the torque because I’m going from a 225 6 cylinder merc to this. I hope it’s not too big of a difference. Super excited though!

It worked. I had replaced the relays with $50 waterproof relays and they only worked for a year. Then they would click but it was intermittent. This solenoid install was easy. Hopefully it lasts.
