CorrosionX do a wheel bearing grease. Sounds like you do a lot of trailer miles, it might make for an interesting product test.

Question about Suzuki motor gauges. My port gauge is throwing a “Check gauge C.” message. Have you encountered this? Motor starts and runs but shows no engine functions. Gauge shows engine is neutral even if in gear.

You definitely had me convinced it was good fried after you pretty much cleaned the pan out in short order. 😂 I’ve definitely always considered them trash fish but if they’re good you could have one heck of a fish fry with one or two fish that size.

It’s funded in Alabama, but they let me tag in East Mississippi as well.

Looks you had a pretty good day. Say you mentioned you forgot some new hooks for your teaser might I ask what kind you’re using. I went to a bait shop the other day & they had the eagle claw plastic spike points toward the eye of the hook, the store only carried a 4/0 which I thought may be too wide of a gap. I know a while back you mentioned keeping it light as possible on the front with catching on the bottom on retrieve. Thanks for your videos! 👍👍👍😎

Even with flushing your motor for 15 minutes every time you are out, running in salt water is eventually going to RUIN your beautiful engine, eating the cylinder head alive. My first Suzuki was the 26th one made on the first day of production in 1999. It is/was a DF40. In 212.9 hours it corroded through the cylinder head on #2 cylinder. A new head was $1,800 and I went 12 years before finding a used one on the internet for $250. I have just put the head on that motor and I am almost ready to fire it up since 2010 when I found the deal of a lifetime on a brand new Suzuki DF50 I could not pass up. That brand new engine is waiting in the crate to be mounted on my old 1999 boat. I am now remarried and moved to a beautiful house on a good sized fresh water lake. You can bet my new motor will NEVER see salt water. May I suggest that you one at a time remove and reinstall all the sacrificial anode holding bolts and the six bolts holding the lower unit on and coat all the threads with Neversieze compound. You won't be sorry later when it is time to change the waterpump impeller and the sacrificial anodes.....Big Al

First of all, you need to watch my maintenance videos. Second of all, my last saltwater motor was 14 years old and sold it still running great!

Wow, drift mode looks excellent. I am a walleye fisherman and trying to drift in goofy, variable winds is a nightmare. I just got mine mounted and will give it a trial on the water in a couple of days. Just to be sure - does drift mode require a hummin bird? The manual isn't too clear on what features need the depth finder. Thanks for the great video!
