Today i got my first boston terrier and he is 2 months and 6 days and he has not wanted to eat all day no idea what this means!

I am think about getting a boston terrier because I need a dog that can be left home for 8 hrs and a dog that is small and lazy for the most part. There have been a couple of lists and videos saying boston Terriers can be left alone. I think a lot of dogs can be left alone if given practice and training. I'm also sensitive to the cold, so I am looking for a dog that matches my sensitivity.

My BT loves tug o war. As long as u want,she's game.some times I have to stop and calm her down. In our den, the furnace register is located low in the wall. About 6" above the floor.when the furnace is on, that crazy dog will actually lay up against the hot metal outlet grate! I've always had a fear she was going to be burned,but she doesnt.or go under the bed covers and go all the way down to my feet- and stay there all night! Don't know how she can breathe!

They can be VERY aggressive with other animals if they're not socialized and trained properly. So, always keep that in mind. They are some brave little dudes. My uncle had one that killed stray cats for sport and latched onto a neighbor dog and wouldn't let go. They had to pry her jaws off him. The one I have now is 1.5 years old and is very aggressive with my sister's Australian Shepard. Had they met outside of my house I don't think my dog would be so aggressive, but I know he's doing it to protect his home and family. I'm making some small progress--last night I kept the aussie in a separate room with a glass door. My dog will pounce on the door but I'm gradually being able to correct and distract him from doing this. I still got a long way to go but I live in the country, so he just doesn't get to interact with other dogs very often. He still loves every human he meets though lol.

I've had 4 BT's in my life. First one,Ginny, when I was 5 yrs old. There will never be better all around canine companion than she was when I was growing up. Talk about tough? Loyal?smart? I'm 68 now, still miss that dog. Catch anything thrown in the air within 3 feet of her to miss was extremely rare.only thing she wouldn't eat that I ever knew of was ....lettuce. loved glaze donuts. Had to spell the word around her ,she hear "doeney," she go into zoomies..

So I lost my buddy Rocky to cancer about 6 months ago He was a mix between Boston terrier and border collie He’s was such a good boy, I miss him so much I think I’m gonna get another dog soon I really miss the companionship of a dog I’m gonna go with a purebred Boston terrier I might even get 2, a male and a female and start my own kennel That would be a dream job puppies, and dogs all day long from up to sundown What a life The smiles on peoples faces when they find a new friend is priceless

My reason to have a Boston Terrier is a path : when looking for a breed for my husband (I wanted a small breed so that the dog could come with us everywhere, so a companion), we met a Boston Terrier and I got lovestruck by its so friendly aura: face, posture. It was love at first sight. Never really had a pet before and not a year of regret. I am BT Forever now.

All right, I agree on the five reasons, even though to me a dog should never be a guard dog but there are always exceptions. (Get a doorbell, nowadays they even film everyone being at the door). I have 7 Boston Terrier and they hardly snore. They all have a short nose. When they do snore, it's for a short period of time or in case I overfed them. Yours looks a bit bulky, chunky, so maybe it's the reason? (maybe). In Europe the breed is more strict and possibly breeders pay more attention to their nose and palate? I don't have the answer to that but so you know mines are no snorer and I do sleep with them (I cannot sleep with my snoring man). About farting, they do every now and then, but it does not stink that much as you say. I suspect the food? I use Farmina Top Breeder brand. When they fart, I can recognise the food they ate. Some of these things apply to my Bostons, some of them don't, and some applied to one of my Bostons but not the others. I've owned 4 Bostons so far, so of which I still have.

I have a black and white tuxedo cat. He is currently 4 years old and will be 5 in July. I’m thinking of getting him a playmate because he’s bored and acts out. But before I do I’m working on making him his safe spaces. I heard before I adopted him. When he was kitten he was fostered. And he would “bully” the older cat. I’m completely new to introducing a cat to a puppy and which kind of puppy that is a match for us. But the Boston terrier my friend had was definitely affectionate and got along with their cat. Any suggestions please comment. Thank you so much. I’m lost.

My Bostons love to get on top of the fleecy blanket on the king sized bed and wallow on their back scratching their back one of the first things in the morning. Then I hold the edge of the blanket up for them and they all burrow under and go back to sleep for a little while longer before breakfast.

Love seeing all these Boston terrier traits. We have our 1st and he does all of these. The zoomies we call the BT 500. He suckles on his toys and we call that numb numbs. We call his frog legging turkey legging because it looks like a turkey. He’s such an amazing pup!!!
