Our Boston Terriers want to please us and they know when we are not pleased by their behaviour. They may not feel guilt but they can feel loved and will show it I can appreciate their efforts to please us. Love our Boston Terriers❤️👍

My Bossy, Boston/ Boxer mix , ears back, doesn't immediaely welcome me home. Then acts very proud of the shredded paper towels. What to do?. Too late to ask the age old question; Pricilla! What did you do?. So no, I don't think she feels guilty.

It's a look of guilt, but not quite sure it's how they feel. Our male BT is over a year old and wasn't feeling good about two weeks ago. Since I was the only one home, I'd left the bathroom door open when I took my shower, so I could hear him if he got sick. In the middle of washing my hair the worst smell was coming through the shower curtain. Poor Max wasn't feeling good and had an accident on the bathroom floor. Couldn't find him anywhere. Went into the living room and he was in the recliner with that guilty look and his paw stretched out towards me.

Oh yes they do, when my boy stole a bit of cheese of counter last night he put his head down and eyes up. Even though All I did was say to him that was naughty. I've never yelled or spanked my Bostys and he still knew. That sixth sense dogs have they know. Most dogs can sense fear or other emotions from humans. Like your Bella, Bostys can read your expressions.I Read a report on that as well. Great video as always.🐶🧀

@@BostonTerrierSociety I gotta say I really love the work your doing. I know you are genuine Boston Terrier nut owner as most of us are in this comment section (calling you a nut is a compliment I'm one as well) I love the interaction between Bella and you. The great choice of subject matter for veteran Bosty owners, and novice thinking about getting a Bosty owners. People who don't want a clingy,face licking, snuggle bed hog dog shouldn't be a Bosty owner. Cheers and continued success. Your content is a positive in a negative time 👍⭐🐶❤️🎥

I do believe it is fear instilled . The fear can come from reprimand or from simply ignoring your pup after he has done something unacceptable. He certainly knows when he is being ignored

They totally feel guilt, mine messed in the basement by the back door, came up stairs ears down and acting meek, he knew he did wrong and I didn't even know he had done it. That is guilt, you can call it fear that he knew he would get scolded and called bad boy but the truth is it was total guilt of conscience in knowing he had done something that would upset me.

Great video, im trying to convince my dad that a boston terrier is the right breed for our family. Do you know how to convince a dad to get one? :)

Are you convincing your dad to get a Boston or are you convincing your dad to get a dog? Basically for my family, we just overruled my dad. 😂 he had no choice but now my dad and our 4 month old Boston loves to cuddle. Tip-If your dad is worried about the responsibilities or anything like that then believe me when I say that most things in life do work out in the end. Ex:let’s say that your dog isn’t getting enough exercise. Easy solution would be to invest more time playing with him/her to let out the pent up energy to create an obedient and cuddly doggo. Dogs are quite simple, you just have to meet their needs. Over time, an understanding will arise between your family and your dog which will allow your dog to understand that he/she needs to meet your family’s needs and that your family needs to meet your dogs needs. A mutual understanding has to be met in order for a happy relationship. I don’t know if that helped but good luck with your situation. 😄 excuse me if there’s any typos 😅😂 lastly, if you need any help then comment and yeah I know it’s really long

Great video! Guilt is a complex emotion I'm not sure dogs are capable of. There's no doubt some things scare my BT though. This raises the question of how to best correct your dog when they do something wrong. With Lemmy, he's almost two, I usually don't catch him misbehaving but find evidence of his crimes later. Correcting him after the fact is difficult because he needs to link the behavior with the consequences. Bostons are very intuitive. All I need to do is glare at him and speak in sharp tones and he slinks away to his crate, knowing he's in the dog house. I never really used the crate as punishment. It's his safe space so he retreats there when he knows I'm mad at him for something he's done. I hate having to discipline my dog but the first thing I learned in obedience school was to treat your dog like a dog because that's how they'll treat you.

We have a really big issue with our Boston being really scared - so much so if he gets scared he will sometimes pee himself and start shaking. He’s only 9 months old and we can’t figure out why he’s started doing this 😣
@tomato88883 жыл бұрын
Oh no poor baby😢😢😢 try not to raise your voice or show that you’re mad because they can sense it. Just pet them, give them kisses and assure them that you are not mad at all.

Dogs have their tails between the legs when scared. Bostons have nubs. How can u tell they are scared for sure?
