Oh yeh… the fancy restaurant is when I pipe up and point out that The Wire builds on some amazing year-long embedded journalism from the writer David Simon (books: ‘Homicide’ and ‘The Corner’) along with other deep knowledge from the wider team. One thing is how out of place the street/crime kids are in the civilian world - like genuinely awkward and even scared. Even though they have the skills and heart to navigate their own.

I remember that but I only remember the one kid getting messed up and the lieutenant said he was blind in one eye? Is this the same kid?

@@Timmy2Dope Nope, two different incidents. The first one was where Prezbylewski pistol-whipped the kid outside the high rises late at night. The second was the police raid in the low-rises where they couldn’t find the stash house. Bodie punched detective Mahon, and then Kima beat on him.

@Timmy2Dope The people cant help themselves. They think they need to hold everyones hand and explain everything and by doing that spoiling some of the experience. Its nice when you maybe miss something at first or dont really get it , to later connect the dots. Or to discover things second watch. This is a really great show and its not meant to be explained , but experienced. ✌🏾 Greetings from the Netherlands
