the towering inferno was the best of the best and poseidon adventure second for me....but it also gave birth to so many comedy spin offs from airplane to space balls and so many so they were the fathers of crashes to giving us the new off shoot of comedy's and humor plus puns galore.

I always wish for helth( to my friends). Kleanthis from Greece. 👏

Hard to believe that Sean Connery was the 6th choice to play James bond at the beginning.

And Ian Fleming didn’t like him at first

I love all the Bond films, but the best actors for me are: Sean Connery, George Lazenby and Daniel Craig are my top picks. Can't wait for more adventures of 007.

Wasn't OJ Simpson in The Towering Inferno too?? Remember The Posideon Adventure very well, it was released the year I was born 1972, so obviously didn't see it back then but in years to come always loved to watch it when it was screened on TV, wasn't Pamela Sue Martin Dynasty's original Fallon before Emma Samms got the role and ended up been abducted by aliens?? No wonder Dallas had to compete with Bobby's death and an entire season been just the very odd dream of Victoria Principles character whose name oddly escapes me right now. Loved all the old big disaster movies - Earthquake, Krakotoa: on the wrong side of Java, its either West/East of Java and film title actually put it on the opposite side of its actual location. Every Christmas when I was a kid you could be guaranteed that all the old big disaster movies would be on TV, as well as all the big old war movies - Dambusters, The Guns of Navarone, A Bridge Too Far, The Great Escape, etc, and weird stuff like Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang, and Charlies Chocolate Factory, used to get The Wizard of Oz every year bang on time too, those last three films creeped me out as a kid so was never a fan, oh, come on The Child Catcher, Everything about the Chocolate Factory especially the river of chocolate that sucked kids up into those tight plastic tubes, and yes, I admit it, The Flying Monkeys, they really gave me the creeps. All the child abduction taking place in these so called 'beloved' kids films just didn't sit right with me even back then, and those Flying Monkeys, yikes, just as every Easter you could guarantee that the film musical of Jesus Christ Superstar would be on TV, and at one time they regularly showed Bugsy Malone at same time every single year. Ahhh the things kids of today will never cherish, how to know what time of year it is just by the movies they showing on TV.

Sean Connery. No one else is even close, ..and I agree, Christian Bale is no James Bond...but he is an excellent actor. Dominic West might have been a good Bond. He got that flare.

I was never a big fan of James Bond movies. But I loved Sean Connery and that manly sultry voice he had not to mention his good looks. But I also enjoyed Roger Moore his movies were my favorite ones. Timothy Dalton was just so handsome and so was Pierce Bronson. To me they were good James Bonds. But the one and only Real James Bond to me and always will be is Sir Sean Connery . 🥰

Yup. My parents took me to many of those. I still remember seeing Earthquake in ”Sensurround.” That was very loud and low bass sound that vibrated the seats when the earthquakes were happening. Awesome!
