Very expensive school. I would probably recommend for the RN to BSN program for those who don't like papers only. I joined some groups and saw how the school is operated.

Be careful with this College. It is a fraudulent College. They promess to the students that they will be eligible to take the NCLEX to get his/her license to practice nursing after graduation but, it is actually a lie. You won't be eligible for the nclex after graduation. Please, verify your state regulaments for the nclex first. I am now filling a lawsuit against Nightingale College for falses promisses and breach of contract. I am just trying to help people!

The school provides equipment to practice skills where you are assessed through. Also in clinical you may get the chance to practice skills as well.

ER clinical is best to practice your IV insertion. OR if you are already LPN you can get Iv certification through hands on training by paying which is less than 400$

Once a semester for BSN 225, 246 , 266, 346, 366, 395. If you miss a day you have to travel again for however many days you missed so try not to be late or miss clinical.

Thanks so much for the info. I have a question, I hope you can answer. I was working with an enrollment advisor in Dec but decided to think about it and hold off. I have 20yrs in finance and a bachelors in business already. Ive always wanted to get into nursing but I heard online that if I went to nightingale and didnt have a background in Healthcare already, it would be impossible for me to get a job in the Bay Area/Sacramento area because hospitals wont take the online degree seriously. I was told with an online degree and due to it being so competitive, I wouldnt find a job. This was info I picked up on reddit, but it really scared me away from nightingale. Do you believe this to be true?
@nursefoster3 ай бұрын
I know and seen plenty of people in my area and on the Facebook group who have found a job with Nightingale college degree. There are many different jobs for nurses and some hospitals just want 6 months to a year of acute experience while most will hire you as a new grad without experience just depends. There’s a lot of hospitals, clinics, agencies, etc. that will hire nurses. Hope this helps an enjoy the journey of nursing.

How should we prepare for Clinicals? I learn by hands on and you know that we do SIMS so I’m kinda unsure about Clinicals because I do not want to go and be like I don’t know anything.
@nursefoster3 ай бұрын
Review on med surg meds ( cardiac, GI, renal, blood thinners, pain, etc,). For clinical skills and med pass be proactive each day to watch videos and ask questions on how to do something. During clinicals you will get opportunities to do skills and nursing care you just have to be proactive and want to learn. Also, remember that every great nurse was once like you and did not know what they know now. It’s okay to not know everything right now just have the will to learn and be a sponge to absorb all the knowledge overtime.

I remember my first clinicals as a CNA in 2019 I didn’t know how to clean a patient or how to work the bed controls. A couple months after working as a CNA I learned a few tricks about basics of nursing and now I’m better than I was before. Give it time and learn each day.

Hi! I'm currently in the process of applying for the fall semester at Nightingale. Your videos are really helpful, so thank you. Every semester is 16 weeks long, correct? And from what I'm understanding, you only travel for clinical for 4-5 days total per semester?
@nursefoster3 ай бұрын
Yes each semester is 16 weeks. The last clinical which is preceptorship is the long one where you complete about 120hours which could be 10 12 hour shifts or 15 days depends on nurse.

Thank you for the video. I live in San Diego, California, and I'm interested in the Nightingale RN program, which lasts for 16 months. This school is one of the options on my list. However, I am concerned about having to travel to clinical sites. I don't want to travel by flight due to my fear of flying with motional sickness. So, I wanted to know which specific state I would have to travel to for clinical? Also, what about the NCLEX exam? After completing the program, would I be able to take the exam and get a license in California? Does the school accept transfer credit units from California? I have completed all the prerequisites and have a Bachelor of Health Science. Currently, I am working part-time at a skilled nursing facility under a CNA license. I am worried about obtaining the state's approval for a license.
