Thank you for this guide. I am now thinking of making a FreeMcBoot for my PSX to preserve it. I just wanted to ask because I have seen other videos where they are playing PS1 and PS2 discs via the uLaunchELF, is there a different app that I need to install to do that as well?

Thank you for showing how to load applications and the boot menu . Now how can you download/load and play games on your ps2 from that usb stick/hdd is it possible ? If so how . I have lets say an ISO file of a game where do i put it in the stick to play it on the ps2

My PS2 V7 is chipped with Modbo 760 and occasionally i get the red screen of death from DVD PS2 games but the game worked the next boot. Is that normal with any PS2 modchips?

Checked all the fuses for continuity & they're all fine. Replaced the two 6 pin icu chips & it's STILL not working! 😞

I’m curious if using the modbo will allow for the use of the actual on system chip of the ps1, because free mc boot uses the ps2 to emulate the ps1 and I wanted to use the on ps1 chip

The only PS2s to emulate PS1 hardware were the later PPC-based IOP chipset consoles. Anything pre-SCPH-750xx will have the Deckard IOP chip and will use this for PS1 games, which itself was the old PS1 CPU. Modchip or FMCB, won't make a difference.

Ive been clueless on what is wrong with my Xbox, this video has really helped! Unfortunately the next chip along from the middle is also showing no signs of life so will have to replace it too. I never quite understood why people try putting missing trace wire UNDER the pads… in a case like this, soldering the jumper wires after placing the port seems so much easier than trying to balance the port on a wire and solder masking it down. Thanks for showing your method! I’m about to do the same (with broken hdmi legs too!)

I just pull out my series x disk driver before for some reason, when iit on sleep mode my xbox run the update and it stuck on step 3/3 at 66%, if i plug in the disk drive will it fix the problem ? ? ?

As in the BD-ROM drive? If so, yes that could well be your issue.
