Andrew! for no power check the board @ F4001 60mA fuse I believe. Good luck! getting it to take a 3rd party HDD over the genuine Sony HDD (They're a ball ache) but.. can be done without loss off DVR functions & loss of HDD space. When you get it powered up' Backup the HDD Sector for Sector. It'll help with the new HDD 👍🏻

Hello, I bought a 5700 model on eBay and I can't make the sound work on the RCA output (red and with connection) but I can get sound through the optical output, have you ever seen a problem like this? Thank you

hi andrew i have been a long time subscriber and in one of your old videos am sure it got deleted because i remember you making a video about youtube deleting your videos. anyway the video was about the equipment you used at the time. you used use a jovy isolder 40 (i know you use a jbc now) i even ended up getting one but i lost the pc software that adjusts its temperature and i cant find it anywhere on the internet can you happen to have it the software is called solder station

I never used it bud unfortunately. I do have the software for the RE-8500 BGA rework station on backup but I think that's a different program altogether.

Sadly not as yet bud - I have a couple of last bits outstanding for customers which I'm working through and then I'll likely be sticking with my own inventory for a while, at least until I feel confident enough that my health won't let me down again. If this changes I'll be sure to stick it up on the channel.
