Norris realistically only lost 2-3 pole positions to his own errors, 21 sochi, there was no way he was going to hold onto the lead the whole race and despite losing ground lap 1 quickly recovered and nearly dominated the whole grand Prix had it not been for a bad strategy call. Brazil he had horrible luck with red flags and safety cars lost 1 position opening lap to a George Russell. COTA was pushed wide into turn 1 by max, and lost 3 positions. Singapore he dominated leading every lap and would've grand slam-ed had redbull not basically cheated Monza was Ferraris best weekend in a while and they were looking quick all week so I don't blame losing positions there, zandvoort he lost places at the start but quickly regained position and led the rest of the field by 20+ seconds Hungary and Spain are only his real inexcusable starts. I wouldn't cal Hungary 2024 0/10 bottling. Yes he had to give up 1st place because of team orders, but he bottled the start to Piastri, and some suggests that this was the reason that McLaren favored Oscar, that they might had some kind of deal before the race that whoever leads the first stint would be given preference for the win. Call that speculation perhaps, but bottling the P1 start alone deservers at least a 2/10 bottling for me.

It is time to stop making excuses for stroll. He hides in the midfield, where people pay less attention and the driver gap is harder to spot. Is he capable of keeping the car on the road? I genuinely believe that the cars get worse because every time they get fast, lance struggles more. So they keep it in his comfort zone, limiting what his teammates can pull from them. Being a Euro F3 champ doesn't mean jack, when he's given F1 sims and parts and the team is clearly the best by a country mile, and he's already struggled for a long time before. Also... The only other two euro f3 champions on the wiki that are in F1 are Ocon and Norris. Also, from 2012 to 2018, only a single drivers champion wasn't from Prema, and that's Norris. Mick Schumacher also won. Like it's hard to understate how insane of an advantage lance had, iirc an f1 sim, F1 parts(?)/staff, etc. and clear financial backing, weaker teammates, the best car, etc. There is a gigantic asterisk on almost every big lance achievement.
