There's an old Arte Johnson (Laugh-In) skit where he's the last business in a town (he sells Tootsie Rolls) and the rest of the town is nothing but churches. Therefore, he is now responsible for all the town taxes. So...he decides his candy counter is now an altar!😀

I’m am on the fence regarding this. Currently I am opposed to taxing the god squad because it would give them even more of a legal voice in our government than they already have. I am already shocked and intensely opposed to what they already get away with in our supposed secular republic. Millions of OUR tax dollars going to religious organizations and their schools. It’s disgusting.

Different age, different time. I guarantee you his kids and their kids, which also goes for families he helped aren't picking crops today. Why? Because they all made sure their kids went in to get a better education and better jobs. You should know this. I also guarantee you he'd have a different mentality about illegals picking crops today. In the past it was even the government that started the migrant worker program because they needed more people to pick the crops and do the jobs white people wouldn't do.

he wasn’t necessarily against illegal immigration, he was against Mexico dumping their poverty (at the time ) in the US’ as migrants. He was against immigrants that come here to work and let themselves be exploited at the expense of real Americans that are hard working people and are willing to do the work. Same exact thing that was happening with the Irish and the Chinese immigrants in the 18th century which led to the Chinese exclusion act. He was against illegal immigrants that were exploiting themselves and undoing his work, progress and contributions that Mexican Americans have made since the founding of this nation and shaping also its political landscape; and all the hardships and work they went through to get fair wages (just like the Irish and Italians as he mentioned) and to stop all those chemicals and pesticides they put into our food , which cause cancer and birth defects. Those immigrants didn’t care about any of that, as long as they got paid (no matter how little). But the average murrican simpleton of today doesn’t either. So don’t throw your lot with such an intelligent man and or people. He was way too intelligent for you people to understand let alone categorize with him. In fact it’s offensive. As a matter of fact, in another interview he mentions how he learned a lot about fasting from the Irish 👀….. lol

“God help us” he did, that’s whey he gave us Trump. Trump was saved by God from assassins bullets, battled political opponents weaponizing the justice department, and fake candidate of the deep state. Biggest super-candidate of all time. Greatest comeback of all time. And now we get our government back. Don’t you want the bureaucracy to end and give the power back to the people?

Cesar Chavez was fighting for fair wages for Mexican-Americans and when they would go on strike, the employers would hire illegals to work for even less while Mexican-Americans are fighting for fair wages.

So if you’re Mexican American, you can’t be against illegal immigration? You do realize that illegals coming across the border compete with 3rd generation Latino Americans because California is an illegal immigrant safe haven? Why should American Mexicans lose job opportunities to Mexicans that come in illegally?

“In an April 1, 2021 post Latino Rebels cited the Chavez letter stating the undocumented are “our brothers and sisters, and the union’s position is that they should be allowed to enter the United States as legal residents. But they should not be used as strikebreakers”, hes against the exploitation of non-enforced “illegality” as a means of strikebreaking and undercutting effective unionization. He is at the same time for immigration reform to give legal resident status to those that are exploited by the very codification of illegality. Dont think he would support Trump/(or especially Obama’s) hardline ICE immigration policies

Segregation is anti-American garbage which still unfortunately negatively affects America today and how we all ourselves as a people. Should've never had it but thank God it ended when it did else America would be in a much worse situation. So glad my state in the South didn't vote for this anti-American like the states to the north embarrassingly did.

Zappa's expressing something that's not new. If one's secure with themselves, there's no need to give money to churches, cults, alcohol and drugs. These artificial stimulants wouldn't exist without the submission of the vulnerable.
