It's rally sad, but Donna's Mom was a bright light full of love that you could see in her beautiful, smiling face, and Mimi never felt unloved. Later on, Donna did change her priorities, especially with the two daughters that followed. There was nothing of her music career in the house - no awards, no records, no posters, no magazine covers... nothing. They had no idea that their mom was famous, but they did know she loved them and that she could sing, and as they got older they saw Mommy on stage and when they weren't in school they traveled as a family or, if need be, Dad stayed home with the girls while Mommy was off singing, but she always flew back as often as possible. Years later, told her husband that I hadn't seen her have that much fun on stage in years... and he said, That's because the girls are grown and off to college and now she can enjoy being on stage instead of wanting to be home with them. They are all three, lovely young women with families of their own, talented, genuine, kind, loving people. Donna was very proud of them, and she told me that even if they weren't her kids she would still love them because they were such kind people. They are like their Mother, and Donna was like her Mother. Full of love.
