Super video! Id like to attempt reglazing an old 12-lite wooden storm door. It was never painted so Id like to keep it that way. Would staining & polyurethaning over your glaze work or do I have to use a different kind of glaze since I dont intend to paint the door? Thanks kindly

Hi, if you switch 180° the clasp fixture, then the hook will not fall to impede the closure; via gravity.

How warm does your putty need to be? Any humidity requirements? It's winter here, but we have several expected days of mild but high humidity days in the 50's to 35's.

Have you ever used a router? I have rock hard putty and I'm thinking of using some wood tacked in line with the rabbit and an inverted flush router bit. Making sure to avoid the glazing points.

I've had great success using a screw extractor to remove tiny screws from metal surfaces. Having said that, I do have far more patience than most and a 'never give up' attitude - something you will probably need if you decide to use a screw extractor! Getting the smallest screws out can take hours!

Hard part is when you are transitioning to an extended surface. Keeping the wet edge and that whole 45deg brush process gets difficult to make the entire piece flat.

Thank you! Great videos! 😊 1 question if you use the water method, are there any steps you need to take before you reuse the putty (besides pouring the water off)?

My daughter's porch decking needs replacing. The house is a 1916 home. She has 1" X 3" x 10 foot boards, so she says. I can only find boards that dimension in 8 foot lengths. Do 10 foot boards in those dimensions exist? I'm hoping they don't find rot like that underneath but, I'm weary. Thanks for the tips!

Do you have any advice or a video on how to install spring bronze weatherstripping on arched exterior doors? In other words, do you need to cut it at intervals to get it to follow the arch? Is spring bronze the wrong application for arch doors? If so, what would you recommend?
