I was there at the Pines when this song was first heard.

I remember watching that show in the 80’s which featured a disco track called Magic Bird Of Fire which shows a group of young dancers plus I remember a network called WPHL17 once had a nighttime program called The moving picture which aired every weekday nights that once played this track during the introduction before the movie starts & all .

This song takes me back to the summer of 78, hanging out in the schoolyard, taking on challengers for the handball courts. Someone always had a boombox and this particular song just brings me back there, or Manhattan beach, V Park, or Avenue U. I’m 62 now, not quite the same as my 16/17 year old self, when I felt like the world was my oyster with no limits. It was a great time and a cherished experience. This song though was fire. It didn’t get as much air time as it should have, but it was fire! I just love it!

never forget in 1979-a friend came over we were into disco and dancing /and rock- /oi had a amazing sound system i had installed in my 1977 ltd 2- sport--/car fi //units ---sounded very /very good-i was 18 years old-he had the france joli 8- track- he said you have to hear this and she is just 16 singing -- then i turned it on-all i can say is thanks france joli -- never forget it- we also danced a many dance to it---wish france joli could have heard it in my car - sounded like she was in my car

These melodic disco instrumentals always remind me of NYC as a kid..hearing it from a car radio and looking out the window usually from the back seat of a Lincoln Mark VII or continental.
