Hi dude, im working on one model, in game the reflection on the model parts are very strange, some seems more reflective when sunlights falls on, the reflection seems fade away when we change camera angle, how to fix it

Thanks for the tutorial. Should base and def folders in my documents be updated to latest game version. All folders inside are dated 11/2023. Steam\steamapps\common\american... folders are pretty up to date?

Thank you for these tutorial series, someone from steam discussions suggested your channel to me. Tried scs conversion tutorials by others a lot and it didn't work out. But this tutorial makes sense. I'm using Blender from 2020 purely for 3D modelling game assets and mods. Started with modding for Bus simulator Indonesia (ANDROID), then Trainz 19 (PC). All of them worked out very well, but I always wanted to make mods for ETS2, and now I think I found the right tutorial.

Since 1.50 my game started to lag and stutter. I use both vanilla truck and trailer and paid mods. When I use vanilla truck by using minimal and no mods I get the same experience. I turned the scaling down and still no improvements.

My game also seems gray ish idk what's up with the vivid colors I've seen in the trailers and screenshots

i dont have a def file after i do scs extractor. i waited for the extractor to close itself like u said but still no def file

I have an RTX 3050 laptop and it hasn’t fixed the problems I get with Jagged edges. I run ATS on 1080p does that mean I need 100% scaling?

I can't get this to work. I use converterpix like normal, and I get a bunch of errors when I import (can't find texture nor TOBJ, can't read TOBJ), but if I add the other "base" files to the "add archives to list" thing (base_vehicle, base_share) then I only get one error: can't read TOBJ, and I can't figure out how to fix it. Such a pain, and I'm the worst with computers, I don't have a clue what I'm doing. And I still don't understand how to do it like you show in the video, like how do I make sure my project base path folder has all the stuff it needs and nothing it doesn't? I'd be grateful for your help. As far as I know, you're the only person on earth putting this info out, showing us how to mod.

I know this is old, I'm trying to mod trucks like engine etc and extracting def.scs using scs extractor and the trucks are not inside def/vehicle/trucks folder, any idea why?

Have a mod Im working on and am getting a "failed to open "/prefab/depots/witte_bros.meta" in read-only. What is the .meta by chance? It is a company/garage prefab for Missouri, def file is written correctly, plus blender to map edit deletes key materials within the file. Its a 1:1 scale prefab too of an area as well.

I have a problem with the exterior, I don't want to display the modded exterior at all, I did it but still nothing in 1.49 it worked fine but on 1.50 it doesn't work at all, so at least I'm not yet using blender 3.6.9 and my addons are updated to 1.50 at least the ones that were can you help me with my problem

Looks a bit like the 'visualized' feeling we ETS2 truckers get each time we try to find out what's going on in ATS and why it even have players (of course we do it with almost no mods and just a few areas owned, while nothing we touch in ETS2 isn't modded to heck and back, and the Gumroad prices of just our cup-holder are about the same as the GDP of Tonga!)

Cant say I learned a lot yet. But your video is clear and well explained. I am in it for the haul though, so we will see what happens at the end. I was able to get everything set up, except the conversion tools add on for some reason. There isn't really any .py files so its hard to understand which folder to move. It did not install via normal zip extract from blender, though it said it did down in the status bar.
