i went to visit this engine many years ago when i was 6. i live near it so i went there often and im surprised it still had a whistle. i am planning somewhere in the future to hope i can talk with the people who own it and test its whistle on air sometime.

Fun fact, one of the KD6 class is preserved in the United Kingdom on the Churnet Valley Railway. And it had been shipped straight to China towards the end of the war and was modified to look like the ones used in Europe.

I live in Chester, South Carolina. That's a former Lancaster and Chester railroad locomotive. Back in the 90s the Lancaster and Chester railroad had only switch locomotives. Engines 90 through 98. And this locomotive was one of them. I was surprised to see it on this line

Okay. Does anybody agree with me with the saint mary's railroad 506 being in front of a lehigh valley coal co 126 while it's still moving with a loaded train full of passengers, as serious violations of FRA based on the fact how dangerous they were close to each other

What an amazing look back to when paradise Lane crossing still had its original Raco hydraulic gate mech crossing signals before they were replaced with WCH signals it’s also amazing to hear number 89 wearing her CN 4 chime whistle before she was equipped with a Pennsy 3 chime out of all the whistles number 89 has worn over the years her Canadian National 4 chime is by far my most favorite of all time now I know she had this whistle from 1991 to beyond 2010 I don’t know if it was 2011 or 2012 when they finally took it off

11:27. They were only owned by Iowa Interstate for a short while as they've since become under the ownership of the Central States Steam Preservation Association. Also, both engines only ran together til 2011 or 2012 to my knowledge. 7081 last saw steam in 2013 and 6988 in 2022. 12:56 2008 has yet to be moved to KSHC's site in Ravenna as of 2024 and its unknown when it will be moved there as KSHC already has their hands full with other projects going about.

I’m friends with the engineer of this railroad named Brock Fitzgerald. And a truth I learned about him is that he prefers the Powell whistle over the Buckeye whistle for some reason. I love the Buckeye as it reminds me of the Disney World Railroad.
