Wonderful video of these Chinese 4-6-2 “Pacific” Steam Locomotives. Out of all the 4-6-2 “Pacific” Steam Locomotives that ran over in China my favorite will be the SL-6 Class followed by the RM Class. They are both unique looking steam locomotives of the country of China so far as we know here. Also fun fact, there’s a Thomas and Friends character that is based on the China Railways RM Class Steam Locomotives, this character is name Yong Bao.

Just want to note that the other preserved RM is actually RM-1247, displayed at the Shenyang Railway Museum. RM-1163, along with a QJ, were displayed in Hyōgo, Japan, but were both scrapped in 2006, likely due to the elements. Either way, some flawless coverage. Personally, I have to agree with you that the SL6 is better looking in my opinion.

RM 1163 was actually scrapped in 2006 along with QJ 6200 leaving both with just their front pilots and a single pair of driving wheels and were preserved in japan
