I carried deer out of the woods like that once. It was a very long trek back to the truck. The blood dried on the back of my neck and after a couple hours it made my neck raw and blistered. Blood is highly acidic and will seriously irritate your skin.

I learned a lot about your buddy from a friend I call a brother. He has hunted Alaska since the early 70’s. He always told me he was too old to guide me but the legend Roy Roth was the only option I should consider. That was in 2012 when my friend passed away. I am sorry for your loss brother.
