Unless you somehow have to qualify for PA Nats a week out you should actually hit a real total
@TheSwolefessor15 күн бұрын
@@SinnedNogara YES, or something like you’re injured and need time to just build to nats. So you just hit the 75KG along the way to be safe. Definitely are some exceptions, but in general that’s my mindset. Like with other established feds that have QTs they don’t make exceptions just because you’re hurt or one week out. So yeah folks need to go hit a total

If I remember correctly, the first time I deadlifted 550, I went from 405 to 500 in warm-up, then directly to 550. When I did 484 x 5, I jumped from 370. Bigger jumps can work very well for a well-trained lifter.

What do you do for cardio? I currently do LISS twice a week, 30 minutes each. I still get too gassed on high rep exercises though so maybe I should increase my work capacity by changing my cardio? What would you recommend or how do you approach keeping your work capacity high?
@TheSwolefessor2 ай бұрын
@@HealthAndFitness-nr4fw i move around A LOT throughout the day. At one point 20K steps was low for me. I’ve adjusted that so it’s not quite so drastic (as I am trying to gain weight). So I don’t do anything crazy outside of walking a lot. As far as work capacity though in general the more often you do something the more used to it you get. Granted if you increase workload continuously it’s still going to feel hard, but basically if you keep yourself exposed to higher reps it should help. Also pushing high rep accessories

How are your helix sleeves holding up? Myself and people I know are having their helix sleeves rip in only a few weeks of use. Is that why you’re using them only for top sets?
@TheSwolefessor2 ай бұрын
@@yoitskeanu so I haven’t had any issues with my V2s ripping (though I did with a couple pairs of V1s after a few months of use. I typically keep my helix on for my entire primary sessions, but because it was 3 of us working in on a rack my legs were getting numb. That being said I’m finding that people with a specific leg shape (bigger upper quad)are having more tears. I know they’re looking to make different shape sleeves potentially for different leg types. We will see if that goes through though.
@yoitskeanu2 ай бұрын
@@TheSwolefessor thats good to hear! Hopefully they can get the shape and durability down. I’m a fan of the sleeves but couldn’t justify having to repeatedly get new sleeves.

what’s your sbd v2 knee sleeve size? also when do you switch between the helix and sbds?
@TheSwolefessor2 ай бұрын
@@alvinsuc I wear size S, and I use my helix on my week 3 and 4 primary days typically. I switched to SBDs just because with 3 of us working in on a rack it took longer than usual so didn’t feel like keeping them on

How does cutting fit in with your style of programming? Usually people have a deload and maintenance week every 5-6 weeks. Where does this fit into your 4 week style? Would that just be week 1 and then increase the deficit to account for the higher number of maintenance weeks?
