I know exactly how you feel! Even after I started looking into UX, it took me the better part of a year to figure how to best learn. You can also do the course on Coursera for free if you choose audit the course. The only difference is they don’t give you certificate at the end which isn’t really worth much of anything.

In the study... I think they're just used to their phones, tablets, etc. The gestures is a slight learning curve. The muscle memory will take over. I find myself mistakenly pinching at my real TV. Ugh. I also think the weight just takes a little getting used to.

That’s what’s so remarkable about how Apple designed those gestures: after the learning curve, it’s very intuitive. I am very certain Apple performed thorough user testing when coming up with those gestures. I am planning a follow video with the testers to see what they think now.

I wish there was a cinema environment for watching movies, and office and boardroom environments for working.
@alwayscallingmeblaze2 ай бұрын
There is! There is a cinema mode where it darkens the environment and makes it seem like you’re in a theater. You even have different seating options. And you can watch movies inside of the immersive environment. For example, if you watch a movie in Mount Hood, the movie appears over the water and you can see reflects of it on the water. But, no office environments yet. At least not native to Apple.

@@alwayscallingmeblaze Oh, I didn’t know it had a cinema mode. I’m waiting for the price to come down before I purchase one, so I don’t have one yet to play with. I can’t see the walls of the cinema, nor the rows of seats, like I can in BigscreenVR on the Quest Pro.

@@alwayscallingmeblaze🎉🎉 the video is amazing! I’m so interested in buying one and I’ve got a few questions since there is no chance to try on them in the UK yet. I’m not a huge tech fan (yet), so I don’t really get the differences between 3D video, special video, 360 degrees video etc, which one does the video that you are showing belong to? Does the surrounding in this video look real to you or you can easily distinguish it from the reality? The first idea popped up in my mind after seeing those “immersive” videos by vision pro is that I could film those immersive videos of my family and friends so when I miss them I can see them as they are next to me, so I wonder if this is achievable with Visionpro? Thanks!
@alwayscallingmeblaze4 ай бұрын
@@jackzhao3322 Good questions! I also didn't understand the difference. The immersive environments are spatial video, which is a different from 360 video. Hopefully, I can explain it accurately. 360 video is shot in all directions with poles/seams usually on the top and bottom and the video is still a flat plane i.e. no "real" depth. Spatial video combines 360 video and 3D. So, its shot in all directions but there is real depth to it. If you watch my All Immersives video you'll see some more examples. The trees you see are like little cut outs and have been moved closer or further away to give depth. In Mount Hood, if I watch a video in Cinema mode, the video will appear over the lake and reflect off the lake. So, there have been areas of the image that have been moved around to give real depth within it. The Immersive Environments are VERY, VERY realistic. The videos here don't do it justice - not even close. I believe this is because of the extremely high resolution and spatial audio. I use it to help me study as I have ADHD and it works perfectly. BUT - the spatial video and audio seen during the Apple demo and in the environments were shot on some crazy expensive camera. The Apple Vision Pro is NOT capable of producing that kind of video. To be honest, they're nauseating. The way it works - as far as I can see - is you take video with it and then it tries to turn it into 3D. Doesn't work very well. Also, the resolution of the recording gets downgraded to 1080p at 30fps. So, the quality of the image is bleh and any kind of motion in the video makes you VERY VERY dizzy. Also, anything close to you makes you cross eyed which is painful at times. With that said, from what I can see, the most effective way to take video is to place it somewhere stationary and record. It's the typical VR problem; if the video is moving in a direction but you are not in real life, you'll get dizzy. And everything needs to be a certain distance from the camera, otherwise you'll get cross eyed. So, if taking real spatial video/audio is important to you, this will probably disappoint you.
