the reasons for gundogans and roques departures are not what youre saying. its because he wasnt trusted by the team, often being seen on interviews talking down the team (most notably after the psg clash). and when it comes to roque, he wasnt convincing enough for the barca training staff.. they even said it. bro like you make valid points but either dont have the correct reasoning or have none whatsoever.
@jsocials
@jsocials 3 ай бұрын
@fxlxpxk I understand Gundogan may have done certain things, but his move back to Man City was primarily for FFP reasons. My example of Roque is focused behind the reasons he was signed by Barca, not why he wasn't given an opportunity. The reality is Barca has faced difficult challenges with recruiting and retaining players for various reasons, but mainly due to finances and poor recruitment strategy. I appreciate your feedback, and I hope to do a video solely on 'Gundogan's time at Barcelona'.

Thanks for watching the video. 'This season starting out particularly rough' was not in reference to match results but rather to the registration issues of Olmo (missed two matches and almost missed the deadline), Gundogan's sudden return to Man City, Williams transfer saga. Speaking to Barca fans not too long ago, the outlook on the team was a whole lot different. Think I am justified to say the season started out rough for the club. If you watched the full video, I do speak on the teams positive performances so far under Flick.

@@jsocials Barca fan here. The points you made are absolutely valid. Yes the performances of the team on the pitch have made us be one of the best in Europe, but before the season started there was MASSIVE red flags as you mentioned. But great video, I did not see anything stupid said here in ur video. Keep it up

Haha.. are you serious? Newcastle are no bigger than Sunderland.. they aren't as big as the likes of villa,Everton, Leeds United, West ham etc. So what, they got bought out by a human rights infringing state, what gives them a right to think they are big? They had one descent season then last season back to mid table, next season maybe bottom half. Geordies are dillusional to think that having corrupt state owners makes them a big club. Prediction 2024-25.. 11th place, Eddie Howe sacked

When you think about the history of the Premier League, which only started in 1992, there haven't been many clubs. Newcastle has had the legendary fan base, but I do agree they haven't achieved as much success, but they've been part of the conversation.

So basically you get punished for spending too much and not earning enough....unless you're an extremely wealthy club at the top of the league, in which case it doesn't count for you. You can spend and lose as much money as you want.

Looks like the Premier League doesn't provide adequate time for clubs to balance its books. Also, being State owned or owning multiple clubs is a way to avoid breaches. Appreciate you watching the video. Thanks

@@jsocials I'm not really sure how football financing works. It seems counterintuitive from what I do understand. There was a documentary on it a few years back and I think the only club that actually turned a profit in the Premier League was Arsenal at the time. All the other clubs were running at eye-watering losses. Given that you have a guaranteed and reliable audience for home games, merchandising, advertising revenue and tv revenue, I don't understand how teams constantly run at a loss. I realise wage bills and such are high, but you should realistically be able to be financially stable given the incoming amount, right? Who would run a business knowing that their outgoing was always going to be more than their income??
@jsocials
@jsocials 8 ай бұрын
@@rbarnett3200 A lot of clubs do loose money for various reasons, from Player salaries & transfer fees, Overhead cost in running the club facilities, etc. That's part of the reason the Premier league created a fairer distribution of Broadcasting revenue across the league unlike other leagues across Europe where the top clubs get majority of the broadcasting revenues. Also a lot of big clubs have used either State-wealth or other business venture to absorb losses. For example, NFL teams are more valued than European Football teams, even though they do not generate as much revenue. NFL teams are backed by Oil and Business tycoons. Owning a football club goes beyond profits. Owning football clubs generates sponsorship deals and other investments that are not directly linked to the football club but other business ventures of its owner(s). The premier League's FFP rules are changing this summer, so would be interesting to see how the league makes it fair and transparent.

Not true there were no potential buyers in 2009/19 or 2015/16, Amanda Staveley brought Sheik Mansoor here in 2008 but Ashley, as he did several times, refused to meet them so they moved on to the next best club (in their eyes) they took over Man City ...we never forgave this awful owner & never will (there was actually a massive court case held at the Old Bailey when, yet again an arrangement to buy had been set up with wealthy Middle East buyers ! He got very drunk in an exclusive hotel in that country, abused all Arabs verbally as well as their religion...he had to be got out of that country very quickly! The former footballer who'd set up that whole meeting was left badly out of pocket & he is the one who took Ashley (Trashley) to the Old Bailey & won ...Ashley was made to cough up £5m in costs ! 14.5 years later he got bought out...Good owners but , well , let's say things still have a long way to go...perhaps someone other than Darren Eales may understand we Geordies & make sure we got our season tickets back...given up in the last throes on Ashley's era to force him to sell to the new owners instead of considering filling sjp up with Chinese and Americans first...the football only has to drop-off a little more & that lot will drop-out, as seen during the Man City match, we, in the Leazes especially were swamped by Chinese City 'supporters ' who had no problem disrespecting our support, some bunches being ejected during the match, many more waiting till the end to fawn over those in blue FROM our seats ! Not on you owners, please sort this 😢
