I’m with you on the pied projects. Right now I’m working on ultramel enchi pieds with hopes to work in hypo in the near future

Pardon me, but I don’t think anyone would want to start breeding ball pythons if they don’t already have one, so suggesting your very first ball python like that is kind of counterintuitive. I mean in my case I would’ve gotten lucky because that is my dream ball python (Blue eye lucy female) and I was originally going to get one of those. I’m pretty sure most, if not all people considering breeding ball pythons already own at least one.

I think you stated it in a video or two back about lack of discipline and direction plus ppl ended up going back to their regular 9-5 and gave up on the hobby there was so many ppl selling groups of their collection for cheap in 2022-2023. I’m fortunate to still be here it’s definitely a love for what you do type thing.

I really appreciate your content I’m new to the hobby and it’s definitely informative to know as I don’t see many other channels covering these topics it’s almost like other ppl don’t want to let their secrets to be known or want to help “newbies.” I appreciate you good sir keep up the amazing work. Also side note I know you said one of your favorite morphs I believe to work with is the Sunset morph. I know it was made by the great Brian Barczyk a few years back but my question is do you feel it will keep it’s popularity and price range for a while or do you feel that it’s going to die down like many others have?

Totally agree with you! I love pied and lavender. Dreamsicle is what really made me like ball pythons. I have a small collection of 5 breeders. Quite a few genes in the mix. So far In my first season every baby has sold and kept one holdback. I'm also not trying to make 1k snakes at this time either.

Are the Ball Pythons considered domesticated snakes and can they be?

Doesn't seem like a doc to me. Seems like tou trying to discourage people from breeding.
@LeviathanSnakes9 күн бұрын
I personally encourage people to pursue breeding in a responsible and sustainable way, but we interviewed a ton of people in this and some of them likely would discourage new people from getting into breeding. I think it is definitely an amazing hobby which if done strategically can generate a decent amount of income too but it is definitely a lot of work and a ton of risk

I love long form discussion but I had a reality check while on vacation. I was so busy around the home, I didn’t have time for podcasts. The shorter, concise videos were much more suitable. Now that I’m back to work, I’ll be back on podcasts during my commute. Anyway, great video. Thanks for all you guys do!

I ended up getting a Mojave mystic. Absolutely love the lil girl. She’s got the prettiest patterns. The line that leads ups to her head ends up splitting at the very end which I absolutely adored.

Best? Maybe. Hopefully. But the real answer there is in the future, in part because… New? How is “New” defined? These folks need to be AT LEAST 2 years in to even be called a breeder, and probably closer to 5. Is 10 still an acceptable answer, or does taking that long keep you from being that top tier? But 15MOL is an excellent indicator contest - someone who has proven something, and something very good, who has a very positive outlook for the future. And I believe that participating in the contest helps develop the skills and recognition that ensures that longevity and success. I have checked out new people - i.e. they have caught new eyeballs! Sure, I already knew a few - about a third of the original entrants. And a few weeks in, the forerunners are clear. There is a new one (to me) near the top, and I’m checking him out! This is what the contest is about, in my opinion. May they all rise up to the challenge, and be their best lame selves!

Most ball pythons don't look good as adults. Boas are the way to go.
@LeviathanSnakes20 күн бұрын
@@hurricane8634 we had boas previously and didn’t really enjoy keeping them due to their size and feistiness so we ended up selling them but they are beautiful. We still have a Brazilian rainbow boa because she is a sweetheart and is just gorgeous

Did your strategy though. Put a visual dg to a triple het female and got lucky on my clutch. Love shed test.I only have a small collection that i focus on dg clown pied and lavender with about 10 different co doms around. Its more my pets and fun hobby. I have found though only other breeders are interested in high end ball pythons mostly due to price. I literally let a ghi Mojave pinstripe double het dg clown go for 500 to a pet home because haven't had tons of interest. I have two more of the exact males that are triple het dg clown pied still for sale 😂

Such an awesome project! If you could add any co-doms right now, what would you add?
