Great video. I spent more time than I’d like to admit trying to get mine to work then I saw your video and one screw later it worked. Thank you!

Hiya mate I’m fitting the same hub to my 68 bug and for some reason I’ve not got enough threads to tighten the hub to the column. You mentioned something about a pinch bolt on the bottom of the column? Cheers dude

I am about to install one of these on my 2.1 MV. My question is: With all these clamped joints, is there any point in me having the lambda O2 sensor in the pipe before the silencer or is it too leaky and likely to give a false reading?
@RatnRetro Жыл бұрын
We would recommend installing the joints with either a high temp silicone or exhaust sealing paste. Otherwise the lambda won’t be able to accurately adjust fuelling within your injection system

Be careful with that name. You don’t want to end up like B is For Build.

Thank you for the concern. Unfortunately they got copyrighted due to it being specifically a mustang called Eleanor. The Eleanor name in general isn’t trademarked unless used against a Mustang

Where exactly does the brown wire from the sender hook up to, is it the fusebox, the vibrator box at the Speedo and why is it a brown earth wire colour, shouldn't it be black for a power on at ignition wire?

Yep, a good synthesis of the fuel gauging system. Will check continuity and earths as gauge is rising and falling - either an earthing problem or a faulty stabilizer!

Thanks for posting this vid.. did you use any copper grease on the joint sections?

My fuel gauge hasn't worked in, well possibly decades. I have tried to fix it in the past, but now there's nothing. It has always been kind of off, going to try everything you have shown. Thanks for the info.

Do you think I could get away with just a stiff sway bar at the back? And then stick to wet drifts?
@RatnRetro2 жыл бұрын
Anything’s possible! We’d recommend high tyre pressures, stiff rear axle and avoiding too much shock to the gearbox. Avoid the dreaded wheel hops too, that can shatter gearbox cases. Give it a try and progress slowly so not to overdo it! 🤙

The last bend after the silencer rusted through after roughly 30.000 km 👎👎👎👎👎
@RatnRetro3 жыл бұрын
On steel models it most likely will due to the concentration of heat. These models being stainless steel however are much longer lasting
