Very beautiful copper and bronze jewelry box. If it was made tin ! the jewelry box would be full of rust holes.

It looked like the original fabric was green....if this was on purpose, why did we not stick with green? I like the result, its beautiful....It's a personal preference I guess to keep the original or change it up🤷‍♀️

This box must have been in a very damp or water logged area for a long time to have this type of oxidation on brass.

Cheap brass jewelry box from the ... 90s? Not ugly, but crude casting and poor decoration. Was probably made in India or Pakistan. Nice restauration work though. I don't know where you found it but verdigris in not that blue. And brass does not have a brown crust when... Hey, is that a fake?

Probably the 1940s. Basing it on the metal welds, the lock mechanism and the hinges. But its just a guess. 😁

You used red velvet instead of the beautiful gold original color, which set off the golden color of the box? That was the craftsman decision and the right one. And the velvet was cushioned on the bottom and had folds on the top. Such a very different feeling. A woman placed her valuable, delicate jewelry in that softness and it was very protected. . . mmmmm. Sorry, but the red does not work. However, you did fit it in perfectly :) 🌷🌱
