If you check in task manager, does all apps (Beatdrop and NestDrop) are using the same GPU? Also you can check in the Spout Settings panel if you use Texture sharing or CPU sharing? I don't think CPU sharing will work. Finally, could you check in the Spout Panel what is the Color format used by Beatdrop. To be compatible with NestDrop, they have to be BGRA if my memory is good.

I have changed BeatDrop's graphic to High Performance both on NVIDIA Settings and Windows settings, both NestDrop and BeatDrop runs on GPU 1. Enabled the BeatDrop's Spout Output and still didn't work. BeatDrop using XRGB color format and NestDrop, ARGB. Very huge difference. EDIT: It's because BeatDrop uses DX9EX and SpoutDX for much improved performance I know.

Here is what I did: I just opened the Spout Receiver, right clicked the window and it appeared the Spout Panel. ...but it said in SpoutDX9.cpp: Only two sender texture formats can be used. 21 = D3DFMT_A8R8G8B8 22 = D3DFMT_X8R8G8B8 Sorry for the late reply.

Hello, thanks for your comment. You can add a full group of preset into a queue by dragging the title of the group, it works also with bookshelf (black box with green dashed line). Since there is only few group, you can add all in a few clicks. Not sure what you mean by overlay preset, but with the Midnight edition you can mix multiple video deck using Spout Sprites.

@@mickabrig7 you can create a Preset queue for Deck 1, then a Sprite queue dedicated for Deck 2, then overlay deck 2 over Deck 1. This way Preset and Sprites can change randomly. You can also add a Black Sprite images into your Sprite queue for display only the Presets for a certain amount of.

Hello and thank you for your comment. To answer your question, NestDrop can be used without Resolume but if you do, you can use the same MIDI controller with NestDrop AND Resolume at the same time. This tutorial only covers advanced features Midnight Edition adds to the Classic edition. Maybe you should start with the NestDrop Classic tutorial which is more appropriate to begin with.

@@nestdome what happens when you use the sprite titled deck 2 and you nest it in deck one and have resolume nested as deck one ? which one do you need the burn turned on in order to get them all to be going at once and burning eachother? what happens if you have the burn affect turned on for both ?

Hello M. Ghost. We don't know a place where to found informations about different projector setup for dome. Most setup we do are custom made based on our client needs, using 3D simulations. But the minimum number of projector using standard lens is a three Projectors setup using 0.5:1 lens, like the one showed in the video.

@@nestdome Thanks, if I'm reading right that's the standard 'short throw' ratio ala a model like the Optoma GT1080HDR (which claims 3800 lumins). Do you have a suggested brightness minimum for a 8-10m dome? Also, I've really enjoyed playing with nestdrop midnight, ty for yalls contribution to creative software :)

@@spaceghostcqc2137 we already try three of those Optoma in a 8m dome with a light grey screen. The brightess was not very good to be honest, but if you have a white screen, the result should be at the limit to be enough.

Hello Charlie, the direct output is a feature of the Midnight Edition. But if you installed Spout, in the spout app folder, you have a free Spout receiver that you can force to fullscreen mode (using 'f' key if I remember correctly)

Hello, thank you for the question. Yes NestMap should well calibrate the Projectors geometry, as long as you take care of Calibration dot who could make trouble (like in the video). But since your projectors don't have the same lens and brightness, you could have uneven brightness and visible blend at the first try. But you can adjust individual brightness (or set the auto brightness adjustment option ON during the Calibration). NestMap is already used for permanent setup with different lens for the top vs the bottom and we get a seamless blend after fews tweak. Color uniformity could also be uneven, particular for whites, if you have different brand or lamp aging. I recommend to set a uniform color after the calibration and adjust the color from the Projectors first, then in the video card driver to tweak.

@@nestdome Thanks for the quick reply.... I have one query... I have insta 360 rs1 inch sensor new camera... Its detected by NestMap but in output I can see 2 screen... one in top area and 2nd at bottom area, one horizontal line in the middle... In your video I can see big circle camera output... how can I achieve that?

@@vivekpatel7403 Good question, we never tried with an Insta360. Maybe you can disable one of the camera in the camera settings (in some KZbin video, they press the front button to switch between video mode while in webcam). If not, maybe you can displace and zoom in one of the two image using the keyboard arrow keys and the CTRL+Mouse wheel (the mouse pointer have to be in the green circle). But the most important is that you need to see the entire screen in your image.

Hello Naeyoo, sorry about that. Can you tell us what audio device are you using? How NestDrop work to ear the music from an output channel, it use the Loopback feature to get access to the data buffer and grab the sound data. Some audio device don't have this feature unfortunately and you get this error pop-up. But NestDrop don't need loopback for input channel. There is a way to send your sound to an input (line in, or mic in) ? Also, NestDrop don't support ASIO driver yet (but it's in the pipeline) and some audio device can be opened only by one app at once using ASIO drivers. I don't have details about your setup, but I think the safest way would be to put a real wire from your pro audio device and connect it to the line-in of your motherboard and use this line-in in NestDrop.

Thanks for your reply. I think I am on the right way to solve this issue. and maybe someone else will run into this and it could be a life saver. I have been using the free version of Nestdrop couple of months.. and it all worked for my purpose. I made the program to dance with whatever audio source I used… Spotify, Tidal, virtual DJ , chrome audio and more. The default audio worked as it should. It was the limitations of the free software. Then I decided to start to make music again.. so I invested time learning to use ableton live.. bough a midi controller and that is history..So I wanted to share my work with others..but I wanted to do it the fancy way with audio visualization… and here the problem started… To really send your audio from your DAW, u need it to be in high quality and less to no latency… so in the DAW u choose of course an ASIO driver, in my case.. Asio4all.. the sound you hear comes to your default speaker, which can be your external speakers or a third party application as voicemeeter.. and OBS to send it to a stream…So I learned about adding a VST plugin to my ableton live, master audio output this could be done… so Reaplugs/ restream standalone plugin to OBS, then added audio input capture in OBS and filter… restream standalone… I sent my music to my twitch stream.. perfect audio… then I missed the visualization…how to add milkdrop to my music… whatever I did… nothing worked.. either not detected or it was errors saying loop…nothing could detect the audio I was playing as I was a VST plugin and no real channel So I had a sleepless night and was thinking..why wont nest drop hear my music whatever I do… or trick then I found a solution.. since I don’t have any hardware inputs… only by soft.. I need to make an “extra” audio output from my OBS stream…send an extra audio far away from Twitch…Installed the “audio monitor plugin” for OBS.. added a filter to my reastream standalone and dedicated it a virtual cabel-and turned off all monitoring and inside nestdrop config.. I choose this cables output.. and suddenly after long time… I can see how my music moves with nestdrop and it feels great to have achieved this even if I far from technical 😊 but u get to be happy once you get some wins.. Again..I really love your work Do you have your own channel somewhere, like a forum to discuss? I was in reddit couple of months back and had some issues which was covered later. Lets do some amazing music and visuals… shall we?

Well the I think you should check for the Midnight Edition, which have a selection for the audio device to use in the settings.

Thank you. Well all depend of the projector lens and image ratio. You can do it with a single one if you a fisheye lens on it and placed at the center. But indeed, 3 HD projectors is a good ratio cost/quality with short throw lens, or 8-9 HD projectors with standard lens for more decent resolution (4k x 4k).

Hi chipko, you can try to use Sprites FX 50-99. They use blendmode 4 which should work with PNG transparency.
