I can’t seem to buy turpentine in Australia either. It should be ok to do this method with raw linseed oil also? May just take more time to dry?

Once I couldn't find turpentine anymore, I also use the linseed oil. But now I just use grape seed oil or you can even use olive oil.

I lived in Mt. Shasta 3 years and half way up The Mt. I picked up a chunk of Mt. Shasta and brought it back to PA in 2015. It's been sitting on my window sill collecting dust for 10 years. It was a plain ugly rock or so I thought. Just a few days ago on Thursday the 20th I was hand polishing a different rock when I thought I'd try polishing the chunck of Mt. Shasta. I was stunned to reveal a gorgeous pattern of a dark orange Ish crystal which looks like it was dripping when it solidified. On the orange are black lines all over it in various patterns. The opposite side is some sort of bright green crystalline shapes as well as crystalline shapes in a lighter orange color. These too had black line patterns in various directions! Can't wait to complete the polishing using a Dremel which will bring out a maximum shine especially on the crystalline parts that shined up nicely by hand.

Google mini connection to new Internet provider bogged my mind. Google home told me some complicated instructions, which didn't match anything on my phone. As all four lights were on I just asked it to play the radio and after rather too many seconds it burst into life. Hmmmm
