Pour avoir parcouru cette partie de la Westbank à cheval, j'ai adoré. Par contre je n'accepterai jamais d'obliger quelqu'un à parcourir à pied un aussi long trajet juste pour tenir mon dromadaire... A chaque fois que je suis montée à dromadaire dans d'autres régions d'Égypte, j'ai toujours demandé que l'accompagnateur ait lui-même une monture, à défaut de quoi je ne montais pas, et quitte à payer un supplément pour qu'il ne soit pas à pied.

Oh, yes. I see what you're saying. Thank you for responding. I, like you, always have concern and empathy for others, and I would never want to take advantage. Here's how we differ, though. I would guess that the average tourist would tip their cameleer about $20 US Dollars for 2 hour camel ride. And seeing that the average Egyptian male makes $60 a week, this is definitely a great job for them. I'm also a hiker and trekker, so a 2 hour walk in a day is very enjoyable for me. So, if we would now have one guide on a $600 dromedary so they wouldn't have to walk, they'd be in a lot of debt to pay that off, and the other 3 men would be out of a good paying job. All in all, after our 2 hour camel ride, I would say that we all ended up very happy in the end.😊
