@@nicsure Thank you very much. I'm really looking forward to it. Will there also be a visual division on the home screen with lines or boxes, as in the original firmware or as in the Quansheng example? The ability to define custom color modifications would also be great. These are just ideas for the great work you're doing on the firmware. Thank you very much for that!

In QuanshengDock v0.32.22q (which is the latest) you've introduced some more options for audio setup (Microphone device, Listening device, Audio to Radio, Audio From Radio). So the audio configuration shown in this video (linking audio sources and sinks via control panel) is no longer needed, right?

Hello everyone! After flashing NICSUREMOD_240606v5 in the “native” program “H3 Programming Software”, when trying to boot from the radio, it requires a password. Neither 11882 nor any other standard ones are suitable. Returning the factory firmware H3_240606 does NOT solve the problem. Moreover, via Bluetooth and through tidstation0_37_1b, everything is read and edited. There were no problems before the NICSUREMOD_240606v5 firmware.

Nice 👍😊 Have you explored into channel bank mods for the Tid or Quansheng radio's?
@nicsure3 ай бұрын
@@nandrews8412 There's loads of ideas, but the problems are down to storage. Where to actually put this channel bank data (or other mass data) as the device has very little space to play around in. Usually this means having to sacrifice something else, which is not ideal. I am looking at maybe utilising unused bits of channel storage data to set things such as a scan group and also implement a fast channel scanner. One idea was to start the channel name with a number, 0-9 which would identify the channel's scan group.

I noticed the airband stops at 136.000 MHz on the TD-HD (it should go up to 136.9xx), is that something your software could fix?
@nicsure4 ай бұрын
You can force AM mode on any frequency. Although I have found the frequency band hard-coded limits, changing those may fix that.

@@nicsure Can I force AM without your software? (The ATIS nearby emits on 136.405 and I can't hear it currently. I hear the tower fine, though)

I've kinda done it, it's not perfect as the "AM" indicator goes out above 136 MHz but it's clearly still in AM mode, and you can step past 136 without it rolling back. Finding the code that displays the "AM" is gonna be a little harder. github.com/nicsure/TD-H3-Engineering/blob/main/137AB_H3_240530.BIN

What's a Power Tuning Application, though?
@nicsure4 ай бұрын
It lets you set the high and low power output on the specified bands. 0 being lowest and 255 being highest. The centre column is for mid power level that isn't implemented on the H3 so can be ignored, probably because they reused the H8 software for the H3. There's also the calibration of the VHF and UHF by nudging the offset up or down by steps of 100Hz.
