Ooh I know this is old but I have the idea of doing just this! I’ve got the chassis, cab and some 3D printed parts to convert for RC traction but will need to scratch build the body as you did and get my head round the electronics. Any tips?

Hi great video, I’ve done my lights but having a problem get the blinking light on top to work. Can I plug it in to my receiver.

Hello) Your trommel is amazing Simple and work perfectly How did you fixed the pipe on the construction, so it doesn't move, and how did you connect motor to the pipe? If you could make me some short videos,it would be awesome

hi how does the trommel connect to the motor, do you run it with a belt or gears?

@@Rc24hobby the motor is connected via a rubber belt, the motor shaft has a pulley wheel similar in shape to that found on an alternator on a car only smaller

These were 3d printed using clear filament and painted in with tamiya clear orange and red, i used small led bulbs in these

great assembly but now there are linear micro actuators no need to bother and it's powerful enough even for dump trucks

Hey mate. I've also build a similar d5 but haven't added any lights. Run mine on 6ch flysky receiver and I would like to have lights just like yours. I was wondering can't I have all the lights coming to a single connector directly to the receiver. I run my 2s lipo 7.4v directly to my receiver to power the machine.

If you wire to a receiver operated switch, you can turn lights on/off This would operate spotlights for example ,for more in depth lighting like reverse and stop lights a light unit would need to be fitted. You can add more on/off receiver operated switches but this uses more channels on the receiver, remember for RC switches operated via the Tx the channel needs to be dialled back to around 50% throw or the switch wont function, hope this helps
