Thanks for the advice. I do have a question about how the choir listens to the music. If I set mics up and play music through the speakers this will be picked up by the recoding mics. I didn't think it's feasible to have everyone using headphones. What is a solution to this situation? Thanks for your time.

How big is the choir you're working with? The choirs I record are generally quite large anywhere from 60 to 150 people. I have done some smaller groups within those choirs. When I've recorded them they may be acapella, or with a piano or even a small string and even horn section. I only set up for the choir and hope the other musicians play the room. Sometimes there has been percussion and that can get a bit loud but at that point it is what it is. But I've never used headphones for the choirs it would be virtually impossible unless they were smaller groups in a studio type setting. And I've never had a choir sing to a track only with what I've mentioned above.

Although this is 9 years old. I’m not going to be negative I’ve always believed music is subjective. But for me (personally) the snare isn’t punching enough. But it sound beautiful and perfectly balanced (No hate bro great video)

Massive oversight of protools, what if I wanted to keep the playlists from the mono tracks in the stereo track. Not really sure what to do in this situation.

Is it me or the recording sounds mono without the added reverb? With an audio recorder you don't need a computer, table and all those cables.

One thing that would have been nice is to know if deleting the plugins only works in the mix window. I like to work in the edit window more. I know all the other tricks work in the edit window too. I just tried deleting and it also works in the edit window

Great video. I just have a "medium" home studio, lot's of keys, guitars and other rack based synths. Friend of mine is a very good sax player, and I was just looking around on KZbin to find some good and clear information about recording / mixing a sax. Well explained.

I'm a bit curious as to why did you reduce the lows (bass voices)? Excellent recording and mix, btw. Loved this video.

On the master bus I had a cut at 20-25 hz which would be inaudible. I did do some expansive bass cut on an eq on the reverb channel which is a taste thing and doesn't impact the audio signal, only the reverb. Thank you for watching!

Were those "stems" from AI? As an engineer, it didn't sound like they were actual breakdowns from the Multi-Tracks. Headphone bleed is one thing, but those sounded awkward to me. I just wasn't as interested as I hoped I would be when I saw the title. I want an engineer with access to the original multi-tracks, using mute buttons on the board.

Using a live sax in one of my songs for the first time. I consider myself to be a very proficient mixer/producer... but I've never worked with a live Sax. Your settings totally helped fit the mix! Thanks for the informative video!

The ridiculously distorted electric guitar part was actually played by Bowie himself, and Alomar did the main riff and rhythm parts
