If you are asked to "go back to the beach", either politely or impolitely, consider that a good thing. If the local surfers are talking to you, it means they care. ( maybe about your safety, their safety or their loved one's safety ). When they're not saying something, that's when you need to be worried.

great training idea. out here in Florida, don't have the clear water or bigger waves like you do but can definitely pull some elements from this. Thanks for the video! Great point on training with safer smaller conditions

Yes. OGs, Locals, & seniority help define the pecking order. There's a lot more to it but there is a bit of order. But with so many people surfing pipe now, I'm sure things get out of hand with that order for sure.
