Nice lily pad cove at the bottom of La Vista where you can fly fish from shore. The blue gills are a lot of fun. Scrappy little catch and release.

always tough when the guides start freezing thats when i usually pack it up haha the zman willowvibe chatterbait head with a baby z too is the only bait i ever get bit on in the winter. Only winter pattern ive ever found thats worked is on my lake they hang by a big rock wall all winter and the sunny days they will chase the shad shallow and ill catch em but after so many trips i only have confidence when that sun has been out all day now.
@geezersbassin2567Ай бұрын
I tried a few of those willow chatterbait heads but didn’t catch anything so now they are buried in a box. I’ll have to give them another try this winter. I used to use jerkbaits only and now mainly throw a blade bait but I’m not sure it’s been any better for me.

Never no unless you try! Went to northern Ontario years back the first week of June it was 25 degrees in the morning and we had to bust through a thin layer of ice with a old cedar strip boat with a 20horse merc. We jigged 1/2 ounce Hopkins spoons right close to the boat in deep water and killed the smallies. Tried it a couple of times around here in 20+ deep water with decent success. Seems to work better with a bass gel scent or a small power bait grub trailer. Keep up the good videos👍

I'm ok with being the only person who thinks the grip is a little uncomfortable. Good for Trika if everyone else likes it. I didn't have to keep it for 11 months but it was a big part of their sales pitch being a brand new company and it worked well. Anyone could try it out return it within one year. I'm glad I tried it out and I'm sure many people will be very happy with them but I just liked my other rods more.

Out side of the comfort aspect, did you think the trika rod was more sensitive and cast further as advertised? I bought th 7' ML/fast 6x for drop shotting, and I thought the sensitivity was great. I cant say ive tried other $300 similar rods though.
@geezersbassin25672 ай бұрын
I thought the sensitivity was good for the price. I don’t do a lot of light, finesse stuff like drop shot or ned rigs but it felt at least as sensitive as other $300-$400 rods I’ve used. I did a couple casting comparisons and didn’t see a difference between them.
